Some plastic balls are included, which are not mentioned in the manual. After seeing some YouTube movies they are normally put in the right bottom compartment. A colour indicator on the filter would be nice so you see how they need to be placed. The thermometer is not waterproof. After some rain, condense is forming inside.

Bought this filter box recently setting up was a doddle my only word of warning is if your pond is dirty this filter will need cleaning fairly regularly regularly because it's very efficient. The photo shows the filters after 48 hours of use.

This is a very poorly designed and useless system. No matter how much effort you put into leveling it or adjusting the inward flow it leaks water from the sides. After I installed it I was away for two weeks and my pond was nearly dry because of the leaks and I lost several fish. The inflow system is not long enough and the sides are not high enough, so splashes from the inflow system leak too. Attempts made to adjust it are futile as the lid is not watertight and the sides are too low. Save you money this is going in the bin.
