I'm an adult man and I am an ex-smoker. I point this out because I use smelly products, like scented candles, as a matter of habit because I Used to think they helped cover up the tobacco scent in my home. Maybe that's too much information! Suffice to say, I have candles here at home.Between ordering this and having it delivered I mused that it was quite an unusual item. But the more I think about it - it's not that unusual at all really, is it?! There are electronic lighters for cigarettes and/or stoves for example, so why would an electronic candle lighter be weird?The item arrives in an outer cardboard box. Inside is the unit itself, an instruction sheet and a USB charging cable. I gave it a charge but it didn't take long at all to be fully charged - I'm guessing there was charge on the device already. To use the device is simple. There is the 'business end' which is metal and can be twisted or turned to various angles. The handle part is plastic and features a little LED screen that tells how from 1 to 100 how charged the device is (or isn't!). Beneath that are two buttons, one square-shaped the other rectangular. The square button is your 'light' button that you press to ignite the candle wick. It works easily and efficiently. I thought perhaps I may have to press it several times to get my wick lit, but I did not, it lit first time just fine.So look, I've actually written more than I intended - it's just a lighter after all (Sorry I'm done now I swear!) - but it could be summed up quite nicely with the old "it does what it says on the tin". You order yourself a rechargeable, manoeuvrable electronic lighter and that is what you'll get. It does it's job - so far at least. I cannot comment on longevity as I've only just got it but the build quality and efficiency of the unit both seem good. I've no reason to give anything other than a five star review here, because it does the job it claims to.

The Arc Lighter is simple to use in deep candle holders, its 360° rotating aluminium neck allows it to be bent to any desired angle for a variety of tasks. The neck may be bent in any way, which makes it incredibly adaptable.The handle is composed of plastic. It has a colourful LED display panel that shows the charging information, and It allows you to look into the circuit board and microchips thanks to its clean clear screen and ambient lighting. You can see exactly where the battery life is and when you'll need to charge it again because it is shown on the screen as a numerical value. A USB-C cable is used for charging, and the battery lasts a very long time! Two buttons, one square and the other rectangle are located beneath that. Your 'light' button is the square one, which you press to light the candle wick. It is simple and effective.All things considered, it lights candles faster than a standard lighter without posing a fire hazard. Additionally, it easily moves wicks farther down in a candle. Has a long battery life and charges rapidly. I feel this is safer to store than lighters with fluid or matchsticks.

This is a very convenient electric candle lighter. It’s flexible neck makes it very easy to get into low jars of candles that are close to the end of their life. The lighter works but making an electrical arc, the plasma of which can be used to light the candle or whatever you wish. One thing to note is the arc is quick small so if you have a candle with a big/wide wick you might struggle a little bit.The lighter can be charged by UBC-C. There is a safety switch to prevent fault triggers. I really like the fact you have a percentage display of the remaining battery. There is also an RGB effect when the safety switch is on. TBH it’s a bit of a gimmick but i don’t mind it too much.Overall I think this is a great electric lighter. I just wish the size of the arc was a bit bigger as to light bigger objects.

As techie gadgets go, this is both funky and functional: the little arc-torch sits at the end of a nicely long flexible neck, there's a nice little window which shows off a little computer chip, and there's even a nice safety lock to stop you accidentally zapping something.With that said,the pinky-gold case looks a bit tacky; the blue would probably be better, but honestly, I'd have been happier with just a silvery-metallic colour.And I was also surprised by how fast the battery drains; a few tests revealed that just 2 seconds was enough to drop the charge by 1%. Which isn't a major issue - after all, it's rechargable and I don't tend to light that many candles each day - but with the size of the handle, I would have thought they could get a bigger battery fitted!
