This mount is of incredible quality for a very fair price as well, to be used for visual viewing of the sky and for land viewing. Very stable and solid (must be mounted on a sturdy tripod though). Purchased this based on the good reviews available on internet...only good ones, not a single negative one. It is an intermediate step before investing into motorized mount. Set up is easy, telescope is stable and well in balance. You can set it up as you wish and to your convenience with the supplied keys. Tried it out with attaching heavier equipment to the telescope (SLR camera + extensions, heavy eyepieces, barlow...) did remain sturdy and balanced, no shaking or whatsoever. The slow control flexible shafts are smooth and easy as well, great for following object manually. Buy in total confidence but don't forget, the quality of the used tripod is key ( I use a heavy Manfrotto tripod) else the quality of the alt/az mount will be wasted

I bought this mount to be used in combination with a Celestron C5 on an Innorel RT90C and it's a great set-up.The mount is solid, well built. Can be inclined in several position when setting it up.Comes in a well padded cardbox.

Świetny montaż. Wcześniej używałem Az4, który jak dla mnie był strasznie toporny. SV225 działa bardzo płynnie, a mikroruchy są dopełnieniem szczęścia. Jak najbardziej polecam.

Ayant beaucoup d'expérience avec les montures équatoriales et azimutales , cette SvBony SV225 me titillait depuis qqes temps.Les avis étaient trés bons.En effet cet azimutale est de trés grande qualité , par sa finition , sa stabilité sa conception.Je dispose de divers instruments et autres montures.Un tube ACF 203 Meade qui pèse déjà 6.5 kg sans accessoire auquel je rajoute chercheur diam 50 mm + renvoi coudé 50 + tête bino et couple d'oculaires ne lui pose aucun problème.Le tout monté sur un pied carbone trés léger , pour ma part le SIRUI AM2-Series AM-284 lequel n'a aucune flexion y compris par le maintient embase de la SV225 et la partie plate du trépied cité.Bien évidement sur des réfracteur jusqu'à 120 mm ça passe trés bien.Par exemple , parmi mes instruments , la 102ED F7 SvBony +chercheur 50mm + renvoi coudé + tête bino , la marge est encore énorme ! ( petit aparté sur cet 102 ED , en astrophoto ciel profond , un filtre minus violet Lumicon dont il y a un article équivalent que propose SvBony que je n'ai pas essayé , élimine totalement le sphérochromatisme que l'on voit sur qqes étoiles émettant vers le bleu ).Alors ceux qui parfois critiquent cet instrument doublet ED , ramenez à son prix ridiculement bas.J'ai en azimutale l'AZ4 SkyWatcher , qui est un roc ! et la SV225 n'a pas du tout à rougir de la comparaison et dans les avantages de la SvBony nous disposons des mouvements lents trés soyeux , un gros plus.L'AZ4 est par friction , trés agréable du reste.Mieux encore j'avais la porta II Vixen made in Japan , azimutale haut de gamme à mouvements lents.La stabilité est trés inférieure , je dis bien trés inférieure à la SvBony SV225 dotée d'un trépied carbone comme la Sirui citée qui ne pèse que 1.22 kg !L'AZ4 et la Porta II sont livrées avec un trépied Alu type astro , alu trés léger pas trés valorisant mais c'est livré avec.Donc choix parfait surtout si vous disposez déjà d'un trépied à tête plate sans flexion.Cette SV225 se démontent trés facilement pour ceux désirant régler l'espacement vis sans fin roue dentée.Celà n'est évoqué nulle part ni par vidéo pour les vis cachées*L'axe portant la vis sans fin en laiton est excentré permettant de rapprocher le contact avec la roue dentée.Si à l'avenir il peut être nécessaire d'intervenir , il y a 2 petite vis au dessus mais aussi cachées 2 petites vis dessous* sous un petit couvercle plastique + ou - collé qu'il faudra aussi desserrer.Ce n'est qu'à partir de là que l'on pourra tourner le dit moyeu excentré pour mettre en meilleur contact vis sans fin/roue dentée si vous estimez que le jeu devient important.C'est le même système pour la hauteur.Partez du principe que vous n'aurez pas à intervenir.Quand vous allez engager le bloc bras , trés facile pour le montage quand vous recevez la monture , cet engagement se fait sur une pièce à pans et celà rentre trés facilement.J'ai mis du gaffeur autour et celà s'engage avec douceur , sans jeu et le serrage est absolument comme un roc.SvBony proposent quantité de matériels parfois novateur à des tarifs assez incroyable.

Kurz: sehr robust, präzise, genial!Die Montierung musste sich bei mir unter kritischen Augen beweisen.Ich nannte schon viele AZ_Montierungen mein Eigen und hatte irgendwie immer etwas auszusetzen.Als direkte Konkurrenten für diese Montierung kommen ES Twilight und Skywatcher AZ5 ins Spiel.Ich hatte beide und kann zu 100% sagen das die SVBONY Montierung der haushohe Sieger ist.Sie trägt deutlich mehr Last bei sehr kurzen Ausschwingzeiten, die Feinverstellung läuft präziser, die Rutschkupplung ist zwar schwergängiger, dafür aber ohne jegliches Rucken. Hohe Vergrößerungen kann man toll Nachführen.Das Design ist schlicht aber wertig.Wenn man bedenkt daß die konkurrierenden Montierung allesamt mindestens 100,- mehr kosten, ist die SVBONY ein wirklich lachhaftes Schnäppchen.

Looking for a heavier mount for my telescope as my current one was to lightweight for the weight of the scope I settled on the SVBONY unit and have been very pleased with it .The mount arrived well packed in a stout cardboard box shrink wrapped in plastic, inside all parts were well protected in foam.On unpacking you get the following itemsThe mount itselfA pair of levers to control the friction of the turning partsA long and a short slow motion control rodsA handle to guide the mount withA set of hex keys witch covers all adjustments neededA well written manual which clearly explains how to fit and use the mountSet up is very straightforward, to save space in the box the mount comes packed with the main arm the wrong way around all you need to do is remove the large bolt near the bottom, reverse the arm and replace the bolt.The mount fits to your tripod using a standard 3/8 bolt which you need to supply.The two friction levers are screwed in place and slow motion controls added, also at this point you can decide if you want to fit the control handle , I found it of little use preferring to use the body of the scope to guide itNext your scope fits via the dovtail rail which most scopes have fitted. The rail is held in place via one main thumb bolt but it also has two smaller bolts which add a good level of extra security to the fitting.In use I have found the mount very good, the controls are smooth and easy to use.The tap test. My last mount was to lightweight for a 130 reflector scope and picked up even the lightest of movements, this one is way more solid tapping the scope sees the image settling in a few seconds at most.Overall I am very pleased with the build quality of this mount and have no problems recommending it.
