These work great, but there is no way to turn them off when not in use. I carried them in my school bag to use and they kept turning on randomly which ran the battery down. If you just store them, they should be fine.

The infrared sensor is sensitive to fluorescent lights, causing it to go haywire or turn on or off on its own accord if you have fluorescent lighting. And I don't mean sometimes, I mean to the point where it's actually entirely unusable. I couldn't get them to stay in one mode or stay on or off to save my life for even 10 seconds with the lights on.The sensor is in the light too, so you can't just cover the sensor as a workaround. Also irritating that pressing the buttons switches to the next mode instead of turning it off. And the stickies they give you for mounting them are near to impossible to get off once you've attached them, which I suppose is a good thing if you want to keep them, but it's not great for not damaging furniture or walls.
