These plastic stencils are quite detailed and I had to do some weeding as a lot of the shapes hadn't been hollowed out. In a couple of places I even needed to use scissors to fully cut them out. The sheets are 21.5 x 25cm with a margin all around so the designs won't 'print' all the way down to the base of the cake. They're quite thin and flexible so you press them on the cake and eventually peel them off really easily. That's after you've covered them with whatever paste you're decorating your cake with. You can use a range of spreads to do that ie buttercream, piping gel, luster dust, edible paint. You can also make textured slabs of chocolate or use them in craft projects with spray or regular paint. I didn't manage to get a satisfactory design by sprinkling powdered cocoa on a drink as per one of the suggestions in the online pictures; the designs are really very detailed and the stencils can't sit on a drink the way they adhere to the solid surface of a cake. Being plastic they're easy to clean after use.They come packaged in a transparent cellophane sleeve which displays a sticker with manufacturer details in China and their UK representatives' and note about unsuitability for children under 3.
