For three very long years, a single, sneaky mole transformed my backyard into its personal construction zone. I tried everything—fancy traps that never worked, and my personal favorite: the “garden hose flood,” hoping to flush out this wannabe Houdini. No matter how many gallons of water I unleashed, it always managed to scuttle away.Then winter hit, and instead of settling down, this furry menace threw nightly dirt parties all over my yard. Furious, freezing, and fed up, I stumbled upon a new trap online. I rolled my eyes at the idea—because seriously, I’ve heard “this one works!” a million times. Of course, I needed an extra part (why wouldn’t I?), so I got that too—just in time for New Year’s Eve.So while everyone else was getting ready to party, I was out there setting up a fancy new mole trap. Because that’s clearly how I ring in the new year now. After everything was in place, I said, “What the heck,” and toasted to the possibility of finally winning this epic war. Fast-forward to today (with a bit of hangover): I checked the trap and—holy moley—it had actually triggered! My first thought was the usual “false alarm,” but nope, there was my longtime nemesis, finally beaten.I’ve heard moles are lone rangers, so I’m crossing my fingers that this was the only one. But if any others dare to show up, I’ve got my new trap locked and loaded. This New Year’s Eve, I not only celebrated 2025—I celebrated sweet, sweet victory. Ik heb het geprobeerd wegens nest mollen en woelmuizen in de tuin. 4 mollen en 4 woelmuizen op korte tijd gevangen. Je moet wel een goede gang uitzoeken en die netjes vrijmaken. Dan klem erin en wat losse aarde of bladeren erin. Ik was de wanhoop nabij want al veel middeltjes geprobeerd (geurbollen, carbuur, enz.) Top!

Na slechte resultaten met andere mollenklemmen en mollenverjagers, had ik goede hoop na lezen recensies.Helaas, is meermaals afgegaan, maar 0 gevangen mollen.

I placed it several times, it triggered, but caught nothing. Looks like the soil pushed ahead of the animal triggers it, instead of the animal itself.

Om man inte tar i den med händerna så får man många mullvadar. Om man tar i den utan handskar så känner de lukten av människor och då tar det lång tid innan man får de i fällan. Man måste kolla så man sätter den rätt i gången.

i have what i assumed was a vole problem. visible tunnels indicated by lines of dead grass all over my yard. bought 2 traps plus the install kit. started off with just putting 1 trap out just to see how it works. super easy to install. located a raised dirt spot along one of the straight paths, stuck the rod, from the installation kit, in the mound and it plunged in. cut a hole with the hole cutter, from the installation kit, and installed the trap. filled in around the trap a little bit with the dirt removed with the cutter. whole process took about 30 seconds. about 2 minutes later my wife said she heard a snap in the back yard. I checked the trap, and lo-and-behold, i caught a vole. Reset the trap and left it overnight. the next day, another vole caught. reset the trap in the same location, 2 hours later, another vole. Now i am more confident in the trap, so i set the other one up in a different location, and I ordered 2 more. i think the trick is to locate the "runways". they are like highways they use to go to and from a den. they will be long paths that may zig zag around trees or other forms of cover for them. i chose a path that lead from a round spot of dead grass, all the way through my yard and into a preserve behind my house. they probably use this to leave the yard and forage for food to bring back to the den. other paths in the yard seem to come to a dead end. these are just exploratory paths that they eventually abandon. to be sure of this, step on one of the paths to collapse it in. check it the next day. if it is raised up again, then it is an active tunnel and you can set a trap anywhere along it. GET THE INSTALLATION KIT WITH IT. it is worth it and makes installing the traps super easy. then you can always buy more traps****update: I have discovered what I am catching are actually shrews. They are using the existing vole tunnels to find food. I have been finding the traps lying over, or pushed out of the tunnels completely. I think the voles are doing this because they are a bit bigger. Trap may be too lightweight for them. Dont know how effective they are with moles/voles yet because I actually haven’t caught one. Deducting a star****another update. Found a fresh mound. Set the trap and caught a mole. Not a vole, not a shrew. Wasn’t expecting a mole. Still catching shrews in a different part of my yard. I think they have taken up residence in abandoned tunnels. I think the trick to catching the mole was setting it deeper to make sure the entire hole was leading into the trap. Digging too shallow only uncovers part of the hole and they have to redig which pushes dirt into the trap and trips it. i have caught only 1 more shrew since catching the mole, and there has been no more activity. still have the traps set in random parts of my yard. changing back to 5 starts

We have moles (doesn’t everyone) ! In the past we have used the traditional steel traps which work but not in a way which despatches the mole quickly and painlessly. They are awkward to use and make a mess of your lawnThis trap however is the opposite. Its very well made, easy to use and is very effectiveI tried it once and had instant success.The way the mole was ‘caught’ you could see that the process was quick.I would strongly recommend this device for catching moles and voles 👍
