The lock is very responsive, way quieter than Aqara U200 and Nuki, I did not test the keypad well enough to say but from my initial tests I consider it fast and reliable as well.

It's pretty clear SwitchBot is really listening to user feedback, and their new products definitely show it.As a SwitchBot Pro Lock owner, I've had my share of ups and downs with it – it worked, but often with specific conditions.SwitchBot Ultra Lock:Pros:* Calibration is a Game Changer: The old Pro Lock often needed recalibrating, and getting locked out was a real frustration. With the Ultra Lock, the option for both manual and automatic calibration has completely solved that for me. I haven't had a single issue with it getting stuck.* Smarter Door Sensor: The Pro Lock's door sensor sometimes showed the door as open when it wasn't, which was always puzzling. Now, you can calibrate the lock mechanism and the magnetic door sensor separately. This makes the door status much more accurate.* Smoother Manual Use: The gearing feels much more solid. Manually turning the lock is smoother and less resistant, which I assume means it's stronger and less prone to jamming.* Easier to Grip: The rotation knob is noticeably larger than on the old lock. Visitors used to complain about how hard it was to open my door, but I haven't heard any complaints since getting the Ultra Lock.* Smaller Footprint: It's much smaller and less intrusive than the previous model, which is a nice aesthetic bonus.* Customisable Look: I like that you can get coloured panels for the front face. It would be even better if they offered white options or allowed for colour matching to the door.* Quieter Operation: The mechanism itself is much quieter. There's a little musical chime when it opens or closes, but thankfully, you can turn that off in the settings.Cons:* The musical chime, while optional, could potentially become irritating if you don't turn it off.Compared to the SwitchBot Pro Lock:For me, the Ultra Lock has fixed the main problems I had with the Pro Lock. The calibration is far more reliable, the manual operation is smoother, and it's just generally more user-friendly.SwitchBot Facial Recognition Keypad:Pros:* Facial Recognition Works Well: Setting this up was straightforward, and it recognizes my face almost instantly. It even gives voice prompts like "move closer" or "move further away," which is helpful.* Audible Feedback: The keypad now has sound. It's useful to hear whether the door has opened or closed, though I can see how this might get annoying over time. It'd be great if you could control these notifications in the app.* Extra Button Potential: The new physical button on the keypad is a nice touch. If you're already using other SwitchBot devices, you can set it to trigger scenes, and it allows you to also send notifications. You could potentially use it as a doorbell, although I think the visitors wouldn't immediately guess it's a doorbell when you look at it.Cons:* Sometimes, I still need to adjust my position slightly for the facial recognition to work perfectly.* The audible notifications for the door status, while useful, might become repetitive without more control in the app.* The new button's functionality is currently limited to the SwitchBot ecosystem. It would be much more versatile if it could integrate with third-party smart home systems like Alexa or Home Assistant.Compared to the Old Touch Keypad:If you don't already own a keypad, I'd definitely suggest the Facial Recognition Keypad over the old Touch Keypad. The facial recognition is super convenient, especially when your hands are full (like with shopping bags). Plus, the extra button adds a lot more potential if you're invested in the SwitchBot ecosystem. While it's bigger than the old keypad, it doesn't feel bulky at all.Final Thoughts:I'd recommend looking into the Ultra Lock and the Facial Recognition Keypad, even if you have the older models, assuming it makes sense for your budget. For my specific needs, the Ultra Lock has addressed the issues I had with the Pro Lock, making it a much better experience. However, if your Pro Lock is working flawlessly, then you might not need to upgrade.As for the Facial Recognition Keypad, it's a solid piece of kit. If you're buying a new keypad, I'd pick this one. If you already have the Touch Keypad, the facial recognition is a real perk for hands-free entry, and the extra button is a useful addition if you're using other SwitchBot devices. I'm really hoping they open up that button for Home Assistant integration in the future!

Dopo qualche giorno di utilizzo, posso finalmente condividere un'opinione completa sulla nuova serratura smart della SwitchBot. Premetto che, essendo amante della domotica, avevo già provato altri due dispositivi simili, ma questo modello mi attirava tantissimo per lo sblocco facciale e mi ha sinceramente sorpreso, sia per la qualità costruttiva che per le performances in utilizzo.- Installazione e configurazioneLa prima nota positiva riguarda l’installazione: non servono chissá quali competenze tecniche. La serratura si monta sopra quella esistente, senza bisogno di smontare nulla. Il kit è completo di adattatori per le principali tipologie di chiave europee. Ho impiegato circa 30 minuti per completare il montaggio, compresa la configurazione dell'app SwitchBot, che guida passo passo in maniera molto chiara.Il tastierino si installa separatamente, ma anche in questo caso non ci sono difficoltà. È alimentato a batteria, con un'autonomia dichiarata di diversi mesi. Chiaramente per l'autonomia non so dirvi ancora se è veritiera, ma tipicamente switchbot mi ha sempre soddisfatto da questo punto di vista.- Design e materialiL’aspetto estetico è sobrio e moderno. La serratura in sé ha un design minimale, in plastica opaca molto resistente, che non dà affatto l'impressione di essere fragile. Anzi, il device principale ha un look decisamente premium e trovo azzeccatissima la scelta di fornire anche degli adesivi per adattare esteticamente la serratura a porte in legno di ben tre colori differenti. Magari avrei optato anche per un colore bianco puro, che in molte case è prevalente. Il tastierino è elegante, con tasti retroilluminati e ben distanziati. Con un buon feedback. Il modulo per il riconoscimento facciale è integrato in modo discreto, quasi invisibile se non si sa dov’è.- Funzionalità principaliQui viene il bello. La serratura può essere controllata in tanti modi:1. Via app – L’app SwitchBot è ben fatta. Si può bloccare/sbloccare la porta da remoto, controllare lo stato (aperta/chiusa), ricevere notifiche e log di accesso.2. Con impronta digitale – Il lettore funziona in modo impeccabile. È veloce e preciso, anche con dita leggermente umide o sudate o sporche. Si possono registrare diverse impronte.3. Con codice PIN – Il tastierino supporta codici personalizzati, temporanei, una tantum e ciclici. Una funzionalità molto utile per affitti brevi tipo b&b.4. Riconoscimento facciale 3D – Questa è la vera chicca. Il riconoscimento è rapido e affidabile, e la tecnologia 3D riduce drasticamente i falsi positivi. Provato con una mia foto e per fortuna non ha sbloccato. Funziona anche con occhiali o cappelli, comodo per chi li indossa spesso e non vuole toglierli prima di accedere.5. Chiave fisica – In caso di emergenza, si può comunque usare la chiave tradizionale.6. Comandi vocali – Integrabile con Alexa, Google Assistant e Siri (tramite Shortcut). Ovviamente previa autenticazione.- Affidabilità e sicurezzaDurante questo breve periodo di prova non ho riscontrato disconnessioni o problemi di riconoscimento. La serratura è stabile e non si blocca. La connessione WiFi è costante grazie all'hub incluso. Dovrò certamente darvi qualche informazione in più riguardo la durata della batteria, che ovviamente non riesco a valutare in pochi giorni.Dal punto di vista della sicurezza, il livello è molto alto. La crittografia dei dati è simile a quella bancaria e l’autenticazione biometrica riduce drasticamente il rischio di accessi indesiderati. C’è anche una funzione di “auto-lock” che blocca automaticamente la porta dopo un tempo predefinito, perfetta per chi tende a dimenticare la chiusura.Aspetto fondamentale in termini di Sicurezza: le impronte e la scansione facciale non viene in alcun modo inviata ai server a quanto ho capito ma resta localmente nel device, pertanto i dati sono al sicuro.- Piccole note di attenzioneIl modulo del riconoscimento facciale ha bisogno di essere posizionato con cura: se troppo in alto (errore che inizialmente avevo rischiato di fare io stesso senza leggere le istruzioni) a o troppo in basso, potrebbe non riconoscere immediatamente il volto. Però nella guida è spiegato tutto, anche l'altezza esatta di montaggio. Leggete tutto il manuale prima di procedere ad istallazione e prima configurazione.Un altro aspetto da considerare è il prezzo: non è un prodotto economico, ma considerando le funzionalità avanzate, il costo a mio avviso è piú che giustificato.- ConclusioniIn sintesi, lo Smart Lock Ultra è una delle serrature Smart più complete oggi disponibili sul mercato. È la terza tipologia di serratura smart che utilizzo ed è certamente la migliore, nel mio caso. È perfetta per chi cerca comodità, sicurezza e tecnologia avanzata senza rinunciare alla possibilità di usare la serratura esistente, come nel mio caso. Consigliata sia per uso domestico che per piccoli esercizi o appartamenti in affitto. A mio avviso una vera svolta per la gestione intelligente dell’accesso dei b&b soprattutto fornendo codici temporanei o una tantum e rendendo non più necessaria la ormai superata (se non erro non più legale) moda delle chiavi fisiche lasciate in giro nelle città turistiche italiane, ormai deturpate da Key Locker sparsi ovunque.

J’utilise cette SwitchBot Lock Ultra depuis quelques jours et je suis vraiment impressionné. C’est de loin la serrure connectée la plus complète que j’ai testée. L’installation s’est faite en 15–20 minutes sans avoir à changer mon cylindre, ce qui est un gros plus.Le Keypad Vision avec reconnaissance faciale 3D est super pratique. Je n’ai plus besoin de sortir mon téléphone, ni de clé ou de code : je passe devant la porte et elle s’ouvre toute seule. C’est rapide, fiable, et ça fonctionne même en pleine nuit grâce à l’infrarouge. Les empreintes digitales aussi fonctionnent bien, même avec des doigts légèrement humides ou froids.L’application est bien pensée, et avec le Hub inclus, je peux ouvrir à distance, recevoir des alertes, ou créer des codes d’accès temporaires quand quelqu’un doit passer à la maison. C’est aussi compatible avec Alexa, donc je peux verrouiller avec la voix.Côté autonomie, après plusieurs jours, la batterie est encore très chargée. Et j’aime beaucoup le système de triple alimentation avec une batterie de secours intégrée si jamais la principale tombe en panne. C’est très rassurant.Petit bémol : la serrure est assez imposante, donc il faut vérifier qu’elle rentre bien derrière la porte. Mais à part ça, c’est vraiment du très bon matériel, solide et bien fini.

Je sors d’un modèle de chez Aqara qui malheureusement est tombé en panne, je peux vous dire que cette serrure sent la solidité, le fonctionnement ainsi que l’installation sont simple il suffit de suivre ce que vous dit l’application et surtout l’ouverture par visage est exceptionnelle, on passe sur un autre niveau , on rentre vraiment dans le futur , en tout cas c’est un sans faute pour cette serrure, petit bémol pour le moment la langue parlée de la serrure pour le moment n’est pas encore en français mais ça ne serait tardé
