It works just as advertised, the only problem is to install it you have to unpack your tank bag, or to gas up again you have to unpack your tank bag. The installation is dead simple just use the right size drill bit, then pop the pin into place. After that use the lock to secure your tank bag and walk away. If you use packing cubes or Ziploc bags for your stuff it's a little bit faster, but you still have to take stuff out of your bag to put the pin in place. Anyone with a pocket knife can still steal your stuff but it will stop a crime of opportunity. I've used it on a day trip when I didn't have a lot in my bag, used the cable lock through the sleeve of my jacket to keep it secure . Went to lunch and when I came out everything was still there. I like it, glad I have the option but wouldn't buy it again.

It's not going to prevent anyone from breaking into your bag, if they really want to, but should prevent any theft of oportunity. The lock it self is quite thin, but seems durable. (lets see how it holds with time) Use it when leaving the bag on the bike for short periods of time, not as foolproof solution. Buy it for what it is.

Easy to fit and kept my tank bag in locked place.I did find when setting the new code with the supplied instructions I could have done with another pair of hands.You do have to drill through the plastic base plate into the bag so make sure the tank bag is in the ideal position before you drill. If moved then you have to make another hole as I found swapping between motorbikes.

So far so good. I was worried about how to store the lock when not in use or that it would hit my tank; however, it is simple to use and easy to store.
