Now I'm using a cordless airbrush with its own little generator so I have little use for that metal ring. However, the plastic holding cups are perfect as I can unscrew them and then attach them directly to my small Fenda spraybooth (which I also bought at Amazon).That way I can store my airbrush right next to my spraybooth and have it ready to go whenever I need it. Now my airbrush had an adjuster knob on the underside but thanks to the cutout it still fits snugly in this unit. Very happy with this item as I'd hate to just leave my airbrush lying on the workbench.
