Es war nicht ganz klar, welche Sprachen man offline herunterladen kann, Bulgarisch war jedenfalls nicht dabei. Auch die Übersetzung mit der Kamera war für Bulgarisch eine Katastrophe. Bei anderen normalen Sprachen funktionierte es besser, aber da ich das Gerät für Bulgarien benötige, habe ich es zurückgeschickt.

This little translation device is a great tool for travel or bridging language gaps in everyday life. It’s compact, lightweight, and supports a huge range of languages. I love that you can use it with Wi-Fi or download languages for offline use, and the on-screen text plus spoken translation makes communication much easier. Setup was straightforward, and once it’s on, using the A/B buttons for back-and-forth translation is intuitive.That said, it’s not perfect. The biggest issue is that it can be a little slow to get going. If the battery dies or you haven’t powered it up in advance, you might miss your window to use it in real-time conversations. Also, like most translators, it works best when you speak slowly and clearly—fast or mumbled speech can throw it off.Overall, I’m glad I got it. It’s ideal for planned travel scenarios, restaurant interactions, or practicing new phrases. Just don’t expect to whip it out and start translating mid-chaos. With a little prep, it’s a super helpful tool.

I think there is a time and place for this item to assist with language barriers. However, you need to be ready. For example, I had this translator for a few weeks and I needed to communicate with some workers who spoke very little English. I grabbed my translator and the it was completely dead, even though it was fully charged and turned off in the meantime.I recharged it and later tried to use it but I lost my moment while powering it on. I still tried to use the translator and the words I spoke wasn't exactly what came across. The workers I was trying to communicate with basically lost interest and went back to the broken English and pointing. Disappointing. If you anticipate needing translation, you need to be ready. In the real world, many situations are too fast paced to retrieve the device and power it on. Another drawback is you need internet to operate without downloading the language.Now the good stuff. I found selecting the language and using the device very easy once it was powered on. There's an A and a B button - hold and speak. One for each language and you can easily switch languages between A and B.I found that if you speak slowly and articulate, the device is very accurate. I think with a little practice, I could get better at using it. I liked that I could see the words I spoke as an affirmation of what I was saying and likewise, I could see the words in the language I selected, in case someone wanted to read it. I love that it verbalizes the communication and I can adjust the volume to fit the environment. The communication is translated in normal speaking speed and sounds natural.I really love that I could speak what I wanted to say and it spoke the language back to me so I could practice what I wanted to say if I chose to teach myself. You can also touch the screen of something I've already said and it will repeat it in the select language. I could preload something I wanted to say and touch the screen later to repeat it. The shear volume of languages is incredible.This device is so cool and could be really useful if you download the language and you're ready for your communications while on vacation. Getting directions, asking about a good restaurant, talking to the locals would make this device extremely useful. Needing internet, power up time, and a few misinterpreted words were the only drawbacks I encountered. I think the benefit outweighs the drawbacks. I can't wait to try this on vacation. Recommended!

Well, this thing is actually extremely useful and doesn’t require the use of cell phone connection or Wi-Fi. I can’t get fully behind it because of the value. Google Translate honestly does pretty much all the same things this device does at this point in time granted this is a little more handy and a little more rapid. I just feel like unless you are using this for business communications it doesn’t warrant a purchase. For casual interactions with people where time is not highly sensitive and convenience is not super important Google Translate will suffice.

I've never had a knack for languages, at least not the way they teach them in school. I've forgotten almost every word and phrase I've ever learned. I don't run into many problems with that, but we do have several stores and restaurants that are run by immigrants, and sometimes it's difficult to explain things, like that I have a gluten allergy. I've used an app on my phone, but I wanted something a little more dedicated. When I saw this I had to try it.It arrived in a nice box and contains the translator, a lanyard, a screen protector (already installed, awesome!), a case, and a charging cable. It all arrived in near-mint condition.They included so much with this! I was worried about finding a screen protector that would fit this but it came with one pre-installed! You just peel off the outside layer. The translator works!!! I tested it with Spanish and German and it translated both. Make sure to speak clearly and at a moderate pace; the only time it failed was when I was speaking pretty quickly. I love that it both says the translation but also shows text on the device. This way you can show someone if they need to see it written.You select the language and there are two buttons on the face: A and B. Whoever is speaking the first language would press and hold A, speak, and release when finished. The person speaking the second language presses and holds B, speaks, and releases. You just go back and forth.I am THRILLED with this little device. It'll let me more easily explain food allergies at restaurants, help me describe what I'm looking for in foreign groceries, and when I do get to travel allow me to interact with all of the people around me.I highly recommend!
