I tested the Taikemeti Digital LCD Waterproof Tach Hour Meter .Usually, I don't find it necessary to read the instructions to install or use this kind of product. But, as I was getting nowhere trying to see the RPM of my outboard engine, I decided to read the setup instructions.Finally, all was clear. It is not hard to use, but there is a combination of long presses and triple presses that are necessary to get it working correctly. So, don't lose the instructions. I have added photos of the key parts above.Once I had done that, it agreed with the dashboard reading for the RPM of my 2 stroke outboard engine.The meter also tracks running hours and can be set to show time to the next service. These are quite simple to see and use.I see this version has a replaceable battery. An earlier version of this product had a built in battery that was not replaceable. Stick with one that can be replaced when necessary, even though it should last for years (in theory).Fine product for about $17.

I used this to tune a few chain saw, push lawn mower and my go cart, gives a good accurate RPM reading. It's easy to install and as long as the spark plug is within 5 feet it will work with no issues.

This was easy to install on my long tail mud motor and made tuning the motor and figuring out the prop diameter and pitch that works best for my setup much easier.

Great tach / hour meter for my lawn mower. Easy to set up just by wrapping the pick up wire to the spark plug wire. Several engine configurations available and easy to set up as the instructions are quite clear. The tach readings are quite accurate as I was able to confirm with a handheld tachometer. This meter is kinda cool that it displays the engine RPM when the lawnmower is running. Then switches back to hours when the engine shuts off. I'm pretty happy with this unit.
