I was apprehensive about getting these for my kids/teens because of the higher cost compared to other brands but they are worth it. This sketchbook is very durable and is the perfect size for being hauled around in a backpack to-and-from school without showing a lot of wear and tear. The elastic band holds it closed and protects the inner pages but the book lays open flat for sketching without wearing out the binding over time. The paper is thick so bleed through to the next page isn’t an issue (unless you draw on both sides of the page, because it will show up on the back with Pigma Micron pens or sharpies). The paper is thick enough that drawing doesn’t leave impressions on the next page. The paper’s smooth texture eases blending and erasing. These are my kids’ favorite sketchbooks for art class and at home.

This sketchbook itself appears to be great quality from the outside to the inside. Though it’s important for me to mention that the paper is not white, but appears a pale yellow, with rounded corners. Additionally, the pages are thin. This type of sketchbook is only suitable for pencil, graphite, and other dry mediums. I tested its durability by using soft core coloured pencils on it over the same page through an illustration, and it seems to hold up well, but ever so slightly damaged the other side (only light pressure was used for the page), so a protective paper underneath is recommended to prevent damage to the underlying page. Inking pens and ink can be used, but sparingly, otherwise the sketchbook fibres will start disintegrating on the top layer of the page. My one and only complaint is the price for this sketchbook compared to the pages. It is quite pricey for being something that’s pages start to disintegrate at the touch of liquid. The pricing may more likely be directed to the outside of the sketchbook, its hardcover having a faux leather type of texture.In conclusion, this sketchbook is great for dry medium and can handle quite a few drops to the hard ground, and your pages won’t be affected, also thanks to the rounded corners. It’s easy to travel with and the feeling of the paper texture is more smooth. There is not much texture on these pages. Overall, if you’re looking for a sketchbook to literally only “sketch” in, don’t mind yellow toned paper, or rounded corners, then this is the sketchbook for you.

High quality paper, with a yellowish cream tint that I love. It’s my favorite sketchbook, I have it in 2 sizes and plan to get more when I finish this one

paper is great and lots of pages sturdy and good sizesit takes ink really well , no show through or bleed or feathering , tested with many fountain pen inks , twisbi , deatriments document , platinum carbon , and rotring.really sturdy nice cover .and plenty of pages

I have filled over a dozen of these, all different sizes, they are amazing. Great for fountain pens, dip pens, graphite, light washes, all are enjoyable and give pleasing results.
