Very unusual and attractive candles. I’ve only ever really seen decorated candles at Christmas and they’ve always looked rather gaudy. But these, from Talking Tables, are bright and fresh with the lemon and leaf motif looking colourful and vibrant.These aren’t scented and that is what I’d usually prefer, however a little lemon perfume would make these just perfect - maybe citronella, for outdoor use?They arrived in pristine condition and will be put carefully away until the barbecue comes out. Maybe a little pricey for around five hours burning time, but I’m so pleased with them I may just treat myself to more.

Very pretty candles in a beautiful design.25 cm in height.I liked the packaging even though it was just a piece of cardboard they arrived safe.Expensive for just 2 candles.

The candles arrived unboxed, simply wrapped In a single loose layer of tissue, but were not marked in any way on unpacking. They are supplied by a UK company that promotes sustainability in its products, which for me is a positive.The candles are attractive having a slim tapered shape and will look elegant on a dinner table (for example). I liked the lemon patterning which looked better in real life than in the sales images. I feared that they might look rather like transfers, but they don’t. In fact they are sweet and look quite sophisticated (for want of a better word).I cannot comment on how they burn as I will use them decoratively for a while, perhaps lighting them next time we have a dinner party, but according to the sales information they should burn for 5 hours, which seems a very reasonable period for such slim candles.At the current cost of £11.99 for two candles they are not competitively priced for tapered dinner table candles, but they are not extortionately expensive and personally I don’t mind paying a little extra for sustainably produced items. Although I understand that packaging is environmentally wasteful, I think that some more protection might have been helpful, even though in my case there was no damage. I will give them a rating of 4 stars.

I like these candles a lot and they look as shown in the listing.I find the design of lemons attractive and also an unusual design and I had seen anything like this until now and they would be great for many occasions.The total length of the candles excluding the wick is about 25cm from the top to the bottom (including the part you would put in a candle holder).The "Eco Packaging" mentioned in the listing is a bit of card wrapped around the middle of the candles holding the 2 together and they are not protected but they arrived in perfect condition.Overall worth getting if you like the design and great for a special occasion.

These candles from Talking Tables arrived in perfect condition and look lovely in real life.They are eye-catching and colourful but the tapered slim shape means they look elegant too.The wax is very smooth and the patterns are clear and nicely done.They certainly feel like a quality product.I found they were a little smaller than my candle holders, so not a snug fit.Burn time is stated as only 5 hours.Price is a bit more than I'd usually pay for two patterned candles.But it is on par with other good quality striped and patterned candles I've seen.I got a tomato set as well, which is why my photos show both.
