PROS-very easy to control (power on/off, brightness, colour temperature)-strong magnification with no distortion at the edges of the large lens-reasonably well constructed (pressed metal but it’s thick enough to support the mechanism, decent springs)-very positionable-easy to understand and read manual (not that it’s rocket science how to set up and use it, pretty self-explanatory)-reasonable priceCONS-there is no indication what the CRI is for the LEDs (if you are going to use this for colour sensitive work, I wouldn’t rely on colour accuracy of these LEDs)-a long string of what I think is dried glue is right across the lens (it’s a thin string, so it doesn’t obscure much, but I need to figure out how to get it off)NOTES-looks like I have a good collection of fingerprints from the factory (lens has been touched quite a bit by bare hands)MY STAR RATINGS:1* substandard, mostly cons2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros

This is quite impressive. The unit is made from metal including the light casing. It all feels very solid when clamped to the table.The controls are simple though on my unit the brightness up and down seemed to have been mixed up. Pressing the up button dims the light. I will get used to it.The magnifying lens appears to be glass and provides a clear view.If there is a downside it is perhaps a little on the small side overall - this affects the reach across the table - you may find you need to position the clamp at the table front depending on where you sit.Overall happy to recommend.

This is a nice product. It does what its supposed to. Mine had so many fingerprints which is easily cleaned but does show a lack of care or QC. The light is even and it works well. For £20+ it should be better but it's adequate enough for my needs.

I made a mistake with this light as I thought it was a magnifying mirror! It is not a mirror at all, it is a magnifying glass with a light around it. The light has 3 colour options and can be brightened to suit. It is sturdy and easy to assemble with everything you needed included. The magnification is great if you have to do or make something that is intricate. It can be used for reading too. It needs to be plugged in to work though which limits where you can put it.If you need a magnifying glass then it is a good buy.
