To use, rub the spiral of metal lightly over the carpet; it rolls pet hair (or human hair) in to a cloud which can be picked up with a dustpan and brush or vacuumed more easily. It is an easier way to clean a carpeted staircase, or use with a shorter handle if cleaning upholstery.While it is not recommended for fine fabrics such as silk and knitwear, it can be carefully used on lower-value woolen carpets and I would risk it on even a woolen coat as pet hairs are otherwise very difficult to remove. It is most effective on synthetic rugs or mixed fibre carpets and easily strips utility mats of the hair they are designed to hold until it can be disposed of safely.It is easy to assemble, of sturdy components, and is good value as it is much quicker than trying to clean the brush heads on vacuum cleaners which do not have anti-hairwrap technology. However, it is not a vacuum or even a broom, so the carpet will still need to have the dust removed as the tool is specifically designed to strip hair out of fibres where it is trapped. Do not be vigorous; only light pressure is needed as you do not want to drag out the pile itself from its substrate.

This pet har remover does do the job. Some similar tools with rubber soles do a better job but they are far more difficult to find and the rubber tends to break off as the attachments to keep the rubber in place are rarely strong enough. This requires a bit of 'elbow grease' to scrape the hair off the carpet but overall it's good. I have used it for a few months now and it still works well.

I have 2 vacuum cleaners, both for pet hair. 1 is a vac and the other a shark. Both cost a small fortune. I got this product for the car as I don’t have a driveway and seemed like a good idea. To test it out, I tried it on the upstairs landing which is pretty small. In 5 minutes I had the pile you see in the pic. I’m blown away at how effective and easy it is.Build quality is really good. Usually I hate these screw together handles because they only seem to last 5 minutes. But this one is all modded, not some loose screw and a tiny hole to put it in that will eventually become loose and break. It’s all metal. Including the head, bar a plastic handle and some plastic protectors around the screw joins. Overall really good quality.The small hand held one is great. It’s made of plastic and rubber but does a great job. Almost makes me wonder if the main broom needs to be metal headed and should be rubber instead as to limit risk of damaging carpet.Tip for if you get this, have it almost upright in use. A 45 degree angle is far too much and it jumps across the carpet. So tilt up until there no jumping and it works flawlessly.10/10, already worth the money and only used it once.

I have a hand held lint/pet hair rake, with similar metal toothed design which is genius, but as I have to get on my hands an knees to use it on the carpet; I thought I would get one with a long broom handle for ease of use - but sadly it's pretty ineffective. It only kind of works at a very specific angle, otherwise it just jumps and bumps along the floor. Im guessing with a slight design tweak it could work, but as it stands I will be sending it back and make do with my hand held.

Honestly I was surprised with this “broom”. I’ve had our little Bella since the beginning of the year and it was driving us crazy with all the hair. We have a brand new hoover (tower) and we vacuum everyday. This was the result of a freshly vacuum rug. Unbelievable. No effort whatsoever, easy to clean, cheap compared to the other items on the market, sturdy and comes with a small scrapper that works wonders for our carpet stairs and sofá corners. Honestly I never leave reviews but this left us speechless. If you’ve got a furry friend you NEED this. I feel bad showing the state of my carpet but clearly the hoover is not doing anything. can’t wait to go into every corner of the house.
