Getting started if you have an iPad is very easy. Install the iWeiCamara App, turn on the TX-158, connect to the Cam-XXX WiFi network, start the App and you are up and running. It takes pictures in FullHD 1920x1080 and they are reasonably sharp.The stand that it comes with is not that stable. It is not very easy to adjust to exact position. It is a bit small, it is a bit light, and when you tighten it is not so firm. You can not really adjust the focus (on the TX-158) without incidentally moving the "microscope" when it is attached to the stand, and unfortunately you can not change focus with the App (but you can trigger the picture). You are better off moving the target object into position/focus, but the best thing is to just place and hold the TX-158 on top of the object (the picture uploaded is a linen fabric, photographed like that) and shoot.When it comes to magnification the marketing (up to 1000x) is obviously a lie. First there is no "up to", there is just one magnification. It has a prime lense so all you can do is place the object closer for more magnification and further away for less magnification, and focus manually. The uploaded picture is kind of as close as you get. If you get closer than that, you can not focus. I would say that picture is at most 50x magnification (based on how much larger the object looks on a computer screen compared to in real life). You can obviously do "digital zoom", but I would not say the 1920x1080 resolution and camera quality allows for that.The good thing with TX-158 is that it is easy to use. I would say it is quite good if you find your normal camera too limited when it comes to macro photography. You can not zoom out, but you can move away from the target to get "less zoom". Focal depth is rather short.If you do detailed work (like soldering) it is probably quite useful, but on my iPad I don't get the "live preview" in full screen.Looking at cells and bacterias requires (kind of) 500-1000x "real" magnification. TX-158 does not even get you close. Don't believe the marketing of this (and many similarly priced devices).I would't really call TX-158 a microscope, but a specialized macro-photo-camera.Here is a link with a longer review and more pictures:

meine messungen haben zwei verschiedene vergößerungen festgestellt. 100x und 320x.mehr konnte ich nicht einstellen. die bis zu 1000x sind nicht vermittelbarinstesamt macht das microskop einen schlechten eindruck. das bild hat 14fps und ist schlecht aufgelöstdie halterung ist aus plastik und kann das microskop nicht in allen positionen halten ohne umzufallen.das scharfstellen geht soweit ganz gut. die wlan funktion geht auch ganz gut.ich schicke dieses microskop zurück da es das geld schlicht weg nicht wert ist.zum zeitpunkt des kaufes hat es 48.55€ gekostet

Das Mikroskop hat eine feste optische Vergrößerung von 50-fach. Etwas anderes ist auch im Handbuch nicht beschrieben.Die mitgelieferte Software auf CD kann auch im Internet geladen werden. Wer seine Daten nicht an Google oder Aple verraten mag kommt allerdings nicht an eine funktionierende App. Ich habe verschiedene Quellen probiert, die Software lässt sich auch starten, aber keine Kamera auswählen.Aber es gibt ja VLC für Linux. Unter Standardgeräte - Videoaufzeichnung erscheint das Mikroskop. Die Bilder können betrachtet und auch aufgezeichnet werden. VLC kann auch digital vergrößern, aber das ist relativ sinnfrei. Die Tiefenschärfe des Mikroskops ist gering, aber das ist wohl normal. Insgesamt hat es die Anforderungen erfüllt. Es ist auf jeden Fall seinen Preis wert.Verbesserung: Technaxx sollte die App zum herunterladen auf deren Internetseite stellen.
