This is the second Tectectec rangefinder I've purchased. The first was the VProXLS, I gave to my brother when I got this one. It took a couple of rounds to get used to locking on the flag using the sweeping motion left to right. I started off just left of the flag and sweep right and would see the distance change from what was in the background to the flag distance and then vibrate to verify it's locked onto the flag. I have compared this to Bushnell and Nikon with the same yardage results for half the price of the others I compared it to. The only issue I have had is if a large tree is directly behind the flag it only picks up the tree so I simply take a couple of steps to the side and shoot the flag without the tree directly behind the flag. Outstanding rangefinder for the price. Additionally, after I gave the one to my brother, he send me a text after his first round with it and he was raving on how accurate it is and how much he loved the slope feature. He said every shot was withing a couple of yards of the distance he measured. He's very accurate with his irons so he used his shot distance to verify the rangefinders yardage. Yes he's that accurate with his irons. He was using a Nikon hunting rangefinder before I gave him the Tectectec. Bottom line is... if you want a great rangefinder at a great price with an unheard of 2 year warranty, buy Tectectec!! You will not be disappointed. This is my second purchase because I was so satisfied with the first one.

I have using this for a few months, most asked questions lately is “what you get”, very accurate, to one decimal point, love the vibration at lock, the easy handling and when allowed, the slope. Certainly seems rugged enough with all the rubberized edges, but just in case a wrist strap for the extra cautious. Not sure of the battery life, extensively used these last few months and going strong, the initial battery placement showed a brilliant design for the compartment, why most other products don’t make this easier is a puzzle. Definitely worth the money, you won’t be disappointed, if only I was as happy with my play.

As a single-digit golfer, I have tried a number of rangefinders over the years - whether it was my own or other golfers' rangefinders. In my opinion, this rangefinder provides the best performance for the price. It has a very clear view that does not require a manual focus on the target, it locks onto distances above 250 yards, and it provides the slope if you desire. Many of the more expensive brand (Nikon, Bushnell, Callaway, etc.) rangefinders also offer these options, but they are typically in the $250-$350 range.This is my 2nd TecTecTec rangefinder, I was happy with the old one until a friend dropped it out of their golf cart and broke it.The only downside to the product is you have to hit the button to power it on, then wait a moment before you can shoot the target. It also takes a moment to lock onto the target, but this is due to the rapid measurements it uses to provide a more accurate distance. I've gotten used to it and simply hit the button as soon as I grab the rangefinder and by the time I'm ready to shoot the target it is ready to go.I would definitely suggest this product to anyone who is looking for a great quality product but does not want to spend as much money.
