This selfie stick is made of good materials and has a good extension length which locks into place. I use it daily for video calls on my phone - so using the tripod.The let down is the tripod mechanism, which is poorly thought out, it could be so much better. The little knob to lock/unlock is ok, but the legs are not stable, there's far too much play in each of them. Consequently, with your phone in landscape orientation (so off center to the main pole) the only way to make it stand up is to push the pole/stick at an angle to get the centre of gravity tuned. It's a fiddle and not something I'd want to do on anything except a flat surface. The whole legs/feet unit can be unscrewed and removed, but at that point, there are many other selfie choices out there.My solution is to disassemble the leg unit and make some modifications (stiffer spring to start!).Saying all this, it is the best combination of tripod selfie stick, with the option to stand independently, without being a tripod with selfie stick capabilities! But the legs mechanism needs an update.Update: After removing the leg module and disassembled. The unit became much more stable after reassembly. Not sure why though! But the good news is, the while structure is much more stable, far less play in the legs. Maybe mine wasn't put together quite right? But it's all working closer too what you'd expect.

Good quality, made of metal. A bit long when folded so I doesn't use it very often. Tripod-part is separate and can be screwed on when needed. Not the most stabile when using it....especially if you fold it out long
