I am a QUILTER and I noticed that I'm not the greatest at cutting or sewing a straight line. Kimberly, at The Fat Quarter Shop gives good tips for making quilts. She sprays her fabric wet with spray starch and leaves it to dry. She then irons it and cuts it out. The pieces stay nice and firm as you're sewing them and I found this to be a game changer for me. I used the StaFlo liquid starch that came in the blue plastic container. I then hung it up on a clothes rack like you use to do a small amount of laundry. That worked great and then I started making my own starch with cornstarch. I would use one box (which is one pound) of cornstarch. I would put the fabric in the mix after it was cooled off. I would wring out as much water as possible and then hang up to dry. Then, I ironed it. It was so nice and crisp and easier to cut and much easier to sew without stretching. This was a whole lot of trouble and time consuming but I discovered TERIAL MAGIC. It does make the fabric stiff...as stiff as you would want it. I love it. It cuts down on all that time I spent with starch products. The main reason I found TERIAL MAGIC is because the liquid starch was about $1.95 at Walmart and they quit stocking it. Then, I found out that there is some kind of shortage on starch and StaFlo doesn't even make it anymore. The boxed powdered cornstarch doubled in price and it all just keeps going up when and if you can find it.TERIAL MAGIC is beyond five stars. It couldn't be better...and it washes right out.

Fantastic product for making fabric stiff. I use it for my quilt fabrics to stabilize them before cutting and sewing.
