I owned the previous version of this calculator many years ago and was looking to replace it as I find the Casio calculators very awkward to use. This TI-30 calculator is easy to use when performing calculations and this is helped by the clear layout of the buttons with the most commonly used keys available as primary functions (no shift required). This is not the case with Casio / Sharp whereby it can be time consuming hunting for buttons and performing shift-functions on the most basic of calculations.Being solar powered, there is no need to worry about the battery running out at an inconvenient time e.g. an exam, and it is also good for the environment. The numerical display is clear, bold and easy to read and performs well even in low-level light.The buttons are plastic rather than rubber and are well seated in their housing. They give a confidence that each key press has been properly registered.The protective sliding case is not the easiest I've ever used and more thought could have gone into the design of this, as there is a certain 'knack' to putting it away which I could imagine may be quite frustrating at the end of a lesson. However, there is a reassuring click so that you know your TI-30 is safe and protected from any knocks and scratches.Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase and I would definitely buy another of these if I needed to, without any hesitation.

Ho rotto (NON si è guastata!) quella acquistata 30 anni, fa uguale a questa e l'ho ricomprata subito dopo averla vista ancora in vendita.Avevo spezzato, sedendomici sopra, il micro pannello fotovoltaico. Una sola batteria CR2032 da 3volt, appiccicata all'esterno è durata 10/15 anni. Ha ceduto la pulsantiera rovinata da polveri ed oli da taglio.L'ho ricomperata per la sua comodità d'uso e le sue molte funzioni dirette ed inverse (anche iperboliche!) così utili per un uso non professionale.Un piccolo prodotto Texas che vale assai più dei pochi euro che costa.

Mi hija quería esta calculadora y está contenta con ella, así que le doy 5 estrellas.Para los que no saben como se apaga esta calculadora: hay que ponerle la tapa. Viene en la parte trasera y se extrae deslizando.
