Does what it says on box. Simple design and small size allow use anywhere. Readings checked, and are correct.

Ich habe lange gesucht, bis ich günstige Hygrometer gefunden habe. Immerhin wollte ich in jedem Zimmer meines Hauses so ein Ding stehen haben. Und dann geht das ins Geld.Ich nutze diese Hygrometer um die Luftfeuchte und Temperatur der Zimmer im Auge zu behalten, da ich in einer vorherigen Wohnung mal Schimmel hatte, da der Kamin verstopft war und so kein Luftaustausch stattfand. Diesesm wollte ich nun vorbeugen.Zur Qualität:Das Gehäuse und der Standfuss sind aus Kunststoff. Der Standfuss muss an das Gehäuse gesteckt werden. Probleme bei der Montage hatte ich allerdings nicht. Man muss aber beachten, dass es nur Kunststoff ist und kein Metall. Aber es kostet auch entsprechend wenig. Optisch macht der Kunststoff aber keinen billigen Eindruck.Einzig das zusammenstecken des Fußes hat sich mir nicht gleich auf anhieb erschlossen. Es gibt dort eine kleine Nase und es ist nicht ganz klar wo die hin muss. Und mit gewalt kann man da nicht drangehen, da die Nase sonst abbrechen könnte und dann kann man das Ding vermutlich nur noch mit Sekundenkleber montieren.Zur Anzeige, ich habe alle zusammen mit einem Nassen Handtuch kalibriert (Bedienungsanleitung) und jetzt zeigen auch alle das selbe an. Für mich war es kein Aufwand, aber ich wollte wirklich genaue Werte haben, deshalb hab ich das ganze noch einmal überprüft. Das muss man aber nicht zwingend.Ansonsten machen die Optisch auch einen guten EIndruck auf meinen Regalen und Schränken.Es gibt ganz sicher bessere, aber für den Preis sind die so wie ich es erwartet habe. Ich würde sie wieder kaufen.

J'ai choisi cet hygromètre mécanique moyen de gamme basé sur un cheveu synthétique, car sa plage de mesure s'étend bien et bel de 0 à 100 %, contrairement aux modèles 5 fois moins chers basés sur un ressort et qui ne peuvent mesurer que de 20 à 80 %.Lors des changements de température à une humidité absolue constante et contrairement à un hygromètre électronique, l'aiguille réagit immédiatement. En effet, l'humidité relative diminue avec l'augmentation de la température lorsque le taux absolu reste identique (cas de l'activation d'un convecteur électrique par exemple).Il m'est cependant arrivé mal calibré, indiquant une HR au moins supérieure de 10 % à la réalité, raison pour laquelle j'avais acquis en parallèle un hygromètre électronique . Une fois ce dernier reçu, ce que je pensais était confirmé et il me fallait le calibrer... Direction la cabine de douche qui l'a fait caracolé à... 120 %, ce qui est physiquement impossible !Après un petit réglage facile via une vis derrière, j'ai donc retranché 20 %, pour après remonté de 5 %, constatant que je l'avais finalement réglé un peu trop bas. (En plein dans la douche, de la condensation peut se former sur le fil synthétique lui-même, et provoquer une mesure au-delà des 100 %:) Mais désormais, il est synchronisé sur l'hygromètre électronique à conditions stable.Concernant l'aiguille du thermomètre, elle est un peu plus lente à réagir (environ 15 minutes de décalage) et elle indique 1°C de trop. Malheureusement, impossible de la calibrer. En dépit de cela, si j'ai choisi cet appareil, c'est principalement pour avoir un indicateur hygrométrique réactif et sur une plage complète, et celui-ci remplit ses fonctions.

I decided to go for a more conventional dial/analogue face and this doesn't disappoint. It's fairly large, almost like a small clock but very easy to read.The stand does secure properly but you need to be firm with it. It will snap in firmly but be careful when doing so. This should have been better deigned. The rear of the meter is made of hard plastic however, at this price I would have preferred an all-metal enclosure. It doesn't look or feel cheap.Performance:I've never owned a Hygrometer and I don't have another one for comparing the accuracy. Out of the box, it showed 45%-50% humidity and I wrongfully assumed that this was accurate. However, I decided to calibrate it after a few days and followed the instructions enclosed. You will need a fair amount of gumption to do the calibration.It takes between 30-40 mins for it settle down once it's wrapped in a damp towel (as per instructions).The tiny screw at the rear is recessed and awkward to reach but not impossible. You'll need to have watch maker's screwdriver and a sturdy set of fingers to access it. I had slight difficulties with this simply because I have large fingers.You can only make tiny adjustments at a time and as it is sensitive. Wrap it up again with the damp towel, wait a further 15-20 mins, make another fine adjustment so on until you get the reading between 94%-98%. This process took me almost a 1.5hrs while watching Strictly!The meter out of the box is NOT calibrated and the initial readings out of the box can be highly misleading. Mine was in any case. It is a sensitive instrument so I would hardly expect it to remain calibrated after manufacturing. When I started, the needle was way off the scale beyond 100%!. I have calibrated it one more time since to get the reading to 95%-97%. I believe it is now giving an accurate reading.With the central heating on, humidity is well below 10%. Out of the box un-calibrated, it read 45%! A huge margin of error. Now, when I take the meter close to an open window, it reads 45% and with a damp towel over it , it's 95%.The meter is very good once it is properly setup. I am somewhat baffled how some of the cheaper digital ones would be accurate given that the sensor within them would work on the same principle but without the option of calibrating.This unit is highly recommended as long as long as you calibrate it properly.
