The Best of Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler: Private Investigations: Guitar Tab Edition

Über die Band und Mark Knopfler muss man wohl kein weiteres Wort verlieren, und das Buch deckt die zeitliche und musikalische Bandbreite bis in die 2000er ab. Allerdings sind die Tabulaturen teilweise ungenau. So sind z.B. die 3.und 4. Strophe bei "Sultans of Swing" als mit der 1. und 2. identisch beschrieben, auch wenn jeder weiß, dass Harry alles andere als "strictly Rhythm" ist. Wer das Buch in erster Linie wegen dieses Songs bestellen will, sollte auf "Jam with Dire Straits" zurückgreifen.

La carta è di ottima grammatura, l'impaginazione e i caratteri consentono una buona fruibilità. Le canzoni sono inserite nella loro completezza, e la raccolta ne comprende le più famose. Consegna perfetta e nei tempi previsti!

Super used book at great value which will be well treasured.

There are two Best of Dire Straits books on the market that I’m aware of, both available through AmazonI’m far from being an accomplished guitarist but I can get by, however got lost in the very thorough though ultimately confusing other version of these two books whereas this one I found was very clearly laid out and primarily aimed at the single guitarist as opposed to a group; more user friendly sized font tooI’m one of these people who appreciates it when the written tab “recorded version” actually helps you sound like the recorded version which this one does; I don’t need to sound like a carbon copy of Mark Knopfler, but I do need to sound like I am actually playing one of his compositions and this book goes quite a way in helping me do thatJust need to practice more…
