The Cinderella Solos, V. U. Level X: A Modern Playbook in C Major and A Minor for Intermediate Piano (Andrea and Trevor Dow's Very Useful Piano Library)

This book is lovely, and several of my students are really enjoying it. Unfortunately I can't recommend that they buy a copy because the printing was very blurry throughout and had a green hue. I am not able to do anything about this, as Amazon require me to send the book back - which I'm not prepared to do (my time and money, plus I use the book in lessons). At least two other UK customers have pointed out the same issue. The music itself is gorgeous, and the scales / ledger line exercises are useful. You can tell that a lot of love has been poured into this book. (It reminds me of the Pop Waltz Prophecy, but more accessible).

At 73, I decided that it was time for me to learn how to play the piano. I hired a teacher, but she wanted to teach me using the latest methods of chording, not reading music. Not for me. Then I hired a music teacher who put me in the traditional "other" method. It was so boring! I dreaded practice time. Finally, I took it upon myself to look for alternatives while continuing with the "other." I finally came across Wunderkeys. I played clarinet as a child, so I knew the basics. Because of this, I purchased the Wunderkeys 2A to start. It was perfect! I proceeded through 2B, then began working on Intermediate. Next, I added the Cinderella Solo. Wunderkeys has made the difference in my interest in practicing. I LOVE to practice using these books. I will continue my 2x month teacher and his "other" book as he helps me with fingering and other essentials specific to the piano, but this is the piano music that keeps me going. I have since purchased Red Riding, Jack in the Beanstalk, and recently Beauty and the Beast. Now, I want an intermediate Christmas book! Hint Hint!
