The Dolphins' Bell (Pern)

I was satisfied with the book. Didn't know it had ever been published on its own instead of in a book with other stories.

I had never head of this book before I found it here in Amazon. This near pristine copy from a printer I have never heard of even has its original dust jacket. Don't think its been read since the 90's, just sat on someone's shelf. Well, this is an origin store of the first settlers on Pern and the Dolphins. An Origin story!!!! WOW, its written with adolescents in mind and its thoroughly illustrated on EACH PAGE plus a few different illustration scattered in. Snag your choice unexpected treasures when you can, I have been reading McCaffrey for years, always nice to find an unexpected treasure from a favorite author.

Not my most favourite Anne McCaffrey but still an enjoyable read. It fills in some of the pieces from the Pern series.

I don't know what happen to my original book but I wanted to replace it since I have the whole Pern collection in hardcover. This is a wonderful little story in the Pern series. It does help to be familiar with the series but you need not have read all of the previous ones to enjoy this one.
