I have a 2016 Ford Transit Connect XLT LWB. I broke off the original antenna and base in the airport parking garage. I thought it was going be an expensive repair considering the headliner.Much to my delight, all I had to do was lightly pry open the overhead light above the dash,and the 8mm nut holding the antenna base bolt was clearly accessible behind the light assembly!I looked at numerous replacements found on Amazon and elsewhere but noticed this is the only one that had the original style bolt protruding out of the base that slips through the hole in the roof and easily connects to the original 8mm nut that is on the end of the original antenna cable.This base is literally exactly the same as my original factory antenna base.This base does not include the antenna. I simply bought the 16" flexible antenna from Amazon, and it came with the necessary screws to easily attach it to the base.At $10 for the base, and $20 for the antenna... I am thrilled!It literally took me no more than 10 minutes to replace.The rubber and the surface on this base are actually designed better than the original so I didn't need to use a silicone sealer between the base and the roof. Simple bolt and play.I will absolutely buy this again if I ever need another antenna and base. 8/9/24
