I wanted a dressmaker’s dummy to help me block and assemble sweater-knitting projects. The adjustable mannequins are really expensive and I don’t do much dressmaking, let alone haute couture! I just need something I can drape fabric around and stick pins in. I looked online to see what other options there are and found this. It so happens that the size 10/12 correspond almost exactly with my measurements, so why bother with an adjustable torso when this one would do the job perfectly well? It arrived half an hour ago and I assembled it in five minutes, using a rubber mallet to help bash the metal pole into the stand. The jersey top is a tight, neat fit. I guess the polystyrene will break up in a few years, but for the money I’ve paid, I really can’t complain. The wooden stand is far more attractive than the unappealing stands of professional tailors’ dummies, and this lady is now a really decorative feature in my bedroom.

Super consigliato!Manichino donna taglia 4042 perfetto per sarte, modelliste e studenti di moda. Non è super professionale ma per un uso domestico è perfetto. Arrivato anche prima della data stimata (nonostante l'epidemia di Covid-19).E' leggero, facile da montare con la fodera lavabile. Il prezzo è ottimo, peccato la spedizione un pò alta ma viene dall'Inghilterra per cui non credo si potesse fare altrimenti.

ce buste est arrivé dans les délais annoncés par amazon, il est d'un excellent rapport qualité/prix. Il reste tout de même fragile car il est composé de polystyrène dense donc piquer trop d'épingles dedans risque d'abîmer à terme le polystyrène mais d'ici là j'ai le temps! Pour une couturière débutante comme moi et pour l'usage que je vais en faire c'est parfait et je vous le recommande!! Mon fils lui a même trouvée un surnom, elle est donc bien intégrée à la maison -)
