The Weakness in Me: The Selected Lyrics of Joan Armatrading

I heard Joan being interviewed in a podcast by The Rockontuers (if you like music - and you probably do, you're looking at a book by Joan Armatrading - you will very likely love this podcast). They talked about this book - a collection curated by Joan. I found it on Amazon for pennies in the pound and it arrived the next day. The lyrics to some of my all time favourite songs in a volume typical of Joan, neat, understated, accessible and comprehensive. I've got a new playlist now!BTW, I have listened to J.A. since 1976 and always loved her songs. 'Love and Affection' is the hook that gets you in, but then she ROCKS. Album after album, a world class guitarist who uses the best musicians on her records too.

As I love Joan's music, I was interested to see what would be in the Book - & what would be left out? 🤔 Would have liked some more of the 'back' stories behind the Songs, but enjoyed it. ☺ A great introduction to her wonderful talent! (So much so, I've bought a couple as Christmas presents.) Some of my favourites are missing: which begs 2 questions? 🤔 👀1) Why? ☺ & 2) When's Volume 2? 😂Thanks Joan Armatrading, for EVERYTHING Tx
