I upgraded to the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE V2 and it’s a beast—nearly desktop‑AIO levels of cooling at half the price. Tom’s Hardware called it “the best‑performing air cooler I’ve tested… whisper silent and only $36”, and GamersNexus confirmed it beats pricier competitors like the Noctua NH‑D15 at 35 dBA noise‑normalized levels. Installation can be slightly tricky, especially on Intel LGA1700, but once it's locked in, temps stay low (often mid‑60s under heavy loads) with near‑silent operation at idle. If you want high-end air cooling without spending top dollar, this cooler is a top-tier value.

Absoloute quality item for the price, more than impressed by this purchase, required a better cooler to go with my ryzen 7 5700x3d as I was reaching temps of 70° to 90°+ whilst downloading and running games. Since installing this my cpu barely reaches 65° playing AAA games in 4k or downloading its brilliant.It's not the quietest but it's not ridiculously loud either. Just standard noise volume really. It's a bit of a faff installing it and be careful when installing the part that sits above your ram, there is a slight clearance but adjust it to give it that little bit more room on the side that sits above your ram. The only negative thing to say is there was hardly any thermal paste with it, not enough so I'd advise to get your own thermal paste just in case.Apart from that it's brilliant, also recommend downloading a programme to alter the colours of the rgb but it's a brilliant piece of kit, would recommend.

This heatsink is just amazing.I have on installed on my amd 5700x and it works brilliantly and keeps the cpu cool during triple a gaming.Thre are three downsides, that really aren't faults, but are worth noting.1) The fans and coolers are really tall and struggle to fit a mid sized atx case.2) The set up is wide and will probably obscure any rgb ram in your case.3) As with most RGB setups cabling the rgb fans, us a full pain. It isn't natively compatible with some rgb setups, do some research to get appropriate adapters.

Me gusta, comple con todas mis expectativas, si es verdad que suena un poco fuerte, Pero ya todo quedó solucionado configurandolo desde la BIOS, porque normalmente está en 900 RPM hasta los 1300 RPM. Pero ya es cuestión de adaptarse al ruido.

I bought this thinking faster fan speed would be amazing but i didn't see them get over 1500 rpm's. Which is fine so this is just like the 120 SE version but for some reason they put V2 on it lol.
