Originally I was going to write a negative review and announce my return ambitions for this item. Instead, I came back to order more. What changed my mind were a couple of over-the-air firmware updates. They changed the item from an ornament that would only show 0% moisture in any kind of soil - and 69% in a glass of water. After the updates however, I get great coverage and almost instant data upon temperature changes or watering my plants. So whoever is having trouble with these, please make sure the most recent updates are installed before you return.

Ancora in fase di test dai primi approcci ho un ottima sensazione. Come il sensore di vibrazione della stessa azienda, già recensita, percepisco che si tratta di un ottimo prodotto. Molto preciso nelle rilevazioni si è integrato in un attimo con Home Assistant tramite il protocollo Zigbee con Zigbee2MQTT. Sicuramente ne acquisterò degli altri per completare il monitoraggio delle mie piante. 👍

Works well with Home Assistant via Zigbee2MQTT. Note the moisture sensor is shown as humidity by default. Quickly resolved by renaming the entity in Home Assistant.Seems pretty robust, will see how it weathers through the winter.

Great to detect soil moisture. Just unscrew the top, put it in pairing mode and you are off to the races. It is a bit on the big side. Not sure how to test its accuracy, but does tell me when soil is dry. Will pull these out of my pots and put the in the garden in the spring as they seem totally water proof. Little on the expensive side, but it looks like a good quality product. Just fyi, this is zigbee not standard wifi.

While I don't have any way to verify the results they seem quite accurate. I can clearly see the soil humidity change as I water my plants and it slowly changes throughout the day.They were very easy to setup and just worked out of the box with Home Assistant ZHA.I would say these are really worth it for the price. As an all in one low powered solution. It would be difficult to custom build something with parts for the same price.

Capteur compact et bien pensé, fonctionne même avec une pile rechargeable (mon précédent capteur n'acceptait que les piles alcalines). Simple à ajouter dans Z2M, simple d'utilisation, pas trop cher, c'est presque parfait.Seul bémol tout de même sur la solidité, qui ne donne pas très confiance de prime abord. A voir dans le temps.Après1 semaine d'utilisation, le capteur indique des valeurs de 80+% d'humidité. Un capteur tiers, que j'utilise depuis déjà longtemps, lui indique moins de 10%... J'aurais tendance à dire qu'il y a un problème. Retour SAV du coup.
