I ordered these as I have so many keys for work at home that I need to partition them for the job I'm doing.This carabiner is astonishingly light - it feels like it must be made of plastic but it isn't. It's made of metal and even when squeezing and grinding the key 'rings' in the powder coating doesn't appear to be affected - though time will tell if marring occurs with constant use. The powder coating is done well - it is a non-reflective matte black - this is the kind of carabiner that batman would use. The 'spring system' works well - it is inherent in the design that it wants to spring back to close the gate and I'm satisfies that it is strong enough for my keys (which these days are worth as much as my watch).In summary, it's strong and superlight and it looks good too.

I've had similar carabiner style clips before that use the same design that turns the body of the metal into a sort of square profile spring by cutting out channels in it. It works very well if you haven't encountered it on other items, and is very strong. It closes firmly, and is robust and hard wearing. It's also relatively easy to open with a firm but not enormous pressure.They've shipped it with on normal ring for keys if you need it. This is a good way to link things to your belt loop if you don't like lobster style clips or other options but could also link two parts of a bundle of keys. It's very light as it's titanium alloy (I'm taking their word for that as I've no lab in which to test it but it's much lighter than I'd expect if it was steel).
