Very solid and good manufacture - purchased as a present for someone else and despite being well packed it arrived damaged. Can't fault the seller who made organising a return very straightforward. I'll be ordering one for myself later this year - the seller has proven their commitment to customer care and it will be a great replacement for my 10 year old existing wormery which is now too small for my garden...

As another reviewer wrote, no instructions (also, not even an invoice in my case.)A youtube vid was helpful along with some applied common sense. Fortunately, although no means an expert, I have some experience of wormeries and have made a bit of a study of it to get this new wormery off to a good start. I wasn't quite ready for it as it arrived four days earlier than I'd been told. These things happen. The guy in the youtube vid actually had instructions with his purchase, so they should be provided. Again, these things happen.The evening before I had spent a mind numbing couple of hours cutting up corrogated cardboard for the bedding. A tip for the coir block, leave it in the bag and whack it on the sides with a hammer to help break it up as this will speed up the soaking up then tip it into a bucket and add the water . I used rainwater, but if you have to use tap water leave it a day or so to dechlorinate before use. I soaked the coir in rainwater as I got other things ready, then when it had soaked up all it needed I mixed it up with the cardboard and paper . Worms don't really like coir on its own, so I mixed in dried up autumn leaves and Coir is a good medium but not much useful bacteria in it so I added a couple of trowels full of my compost from my homemade worm bin and mixed it all up. I had enough for one of the trays for now so I left the the other two trays off for the time being.Now. Worms have no stomachs so need grit to grind their food up, and this passes out of them. I use ground up eggshells for this, but I need to make some up. Eggshell adds calcium and this is good for the worms. I tossed in little course sand for the meantime.I'll take a carrier bag to my friendly Chinese take out and he'll be happy to get rid of them. These will be boiled for a a few minutes, baked in the oven a few minutes then I'll use a food grinder / chopper followed by a rolling pin to get the shell to an almost fine powder, a handful will be scattered on the top of the bedding. (see youtube). This eggshell also helps keep the Ph right. I bought a basic Ph tester from Amazon for a little over £18 and seems to work ok.For food I put in some lettuce going off and a banana going black.I advise some study before investing in something like this. Done right you will have some rich compost to add to your garden and to enrich the commercial compost which has minimal healthy bacteria. Also, the brown liquid from the sump tray should be used 50/50 with water as feed for your plants. Go for it and have fun.

Bought this for my dad and he says it’s brilliant. He has to buy some more worms which are easy to purchase and now the worms are composting and producing loads of fertiliser for his garden. He said it was really easy to assemble. Great value for money product.

Didn’t find any instructions until I noticed a QR code once I’d muddled my way through building it with guesswork and some YouTube hunting. Disappointed at the build quality though, the plastic curved lip on the base broke off with no force at all. Perhaps a manufacturing fault or damaged in delivery and so didn’t notice it when assembling? Either way I hoped it would be more sturdy than this as it really isn’t cheap for what it is.
