Das Schneidebrett von Grourarty hat mich insgesamt positiv überrascht, es wirkt gut verarbeitet, funktional durchdacht und bietet für den Preis einiges an Komfort.Die doppelseitige Ausführung (eine Seite Titan, die andere aus ,,angeblich'' Weizenstroh-PP) ist praktisch im Alltag. Ich verwende die Titan-Seite überwiegend für Fleisch und Fisch, da sie robuster wirkt und sich leicht abspülen lässt. Die Weizenstroh-Seite ist ideal für Gemüse, Obst oder Brot, besonders dank der integrierten Saftrille, die beim Schneiden von saftigen Lebensmitteln wie Tomaten oder Melone wirklich nützlich ist. Auch der kleine geriffelte Bereich zum Reiben von Ingwer oder Knoblauch ist ein cleveres Detail.Die Größe (38,5 x 26,5 cm) empfinde ich als genau richtig: ausreichend Fläche zum Arbeiten, aber noch kompakt genug, um es leicht zu verstauen. Es gibt ein praktisches Loch zum Aufhängen, was ich persönlich sehr mag, spart Platz und sieht in der Küche auch ganz gut aus.Ein kleiner Nachteil: Wie bei fast allen Titan-Schneidebrettern sieht man auch hier Schnittspuren recht schnell, besonders auf der metallischen Seite. Wer damit leben kann, bekommt dafür aber ein sehr pflegeleichtes und vielseitiges Brett, das lange hält. Wichtig: es ist nicht spülmaschinengeeignet, aber mit warmem Wasser und etwas Spülmittel schnell von Hand gereinigt.

Nice cutting board, easy to clean, it’s sanitary and I feel comfortable using it without worrying it’ll soak up food contamination, it’s light, strong and looks good, if you need a good cutting board and want to make sure it’s food safe and won’t hold contaminants then this is a great board to have around the kitchen…

It’s a great surface for beef chicken etc. both surfaces for fruit and vegetables and easy to clean

This Grourarty double sided kitchen cutting board is double sided with one side made from wheat straw PP that we are all used to and the other side is titanium metal. Around the outside of the board is a grippier edge that overlaps both sides by around 8mm and on the wheatstraw side - the side that faces down when you are using the titanium side for chopping - it has four feet that run around the edge so that the board is raised a millimetre or so from the surface and therefore can grip.The other side has the titanium surface inset into the rubber edge and therefore it does not need additional feet. The board that was supplied to me for review weighs 1,046 grammes so it has plenty of weight and is unlikely to slide around the work surface as you use it.Titanium is a bit harder than your knives so you can expect them to mark the titanium surface slightly, depending upon how hardened the knives are as well as just what type of metal they are manufactured from. You can see in the photographs that a normal kitchen knife will mark the metal surface just cutting a cucumber or some peppers so it is unrealistic to expect it to be free from scratches.I have been using this board for over two weeks now and it is quite impressive. The gutter around the edge on the wheat straw polimer side helps to prevent tomato juice, fruit juice or water from running onto my work surface and being this heavy, it just stays where I put it. The use of titanium instead of stainless steel means that it is not susceptible to the chemicals that stainless are.
