Ich hatte anfangs große Probleme, da im Startmenü nur ost- und südeuropäische Sprachen angeboten werden. Der TomTom-Support ist unterirdisch! Ich habe es dann einfach mal probiert und die Lösung ist ganz einfach:Ich habe im Startmenü Italienisch gewählt und dann mit dem Google-Übersetzer das nächste Menü übersetzt. Hier konnte ich dann weitere Sprachen wählen. Danach wurde Deutsch angeboten. Beim Update wird dann Deutsch als Sprache dazu installiert.Jetzt ist alles top!

Do NOT purchase this item for use in Australia. It is a Europe only version.As supplied it offers the option of 5 European Languages which does not include English. I could not use voice commands or get voice assisted navigation. Contacted TomTom and they made an English Voice available to me which I downloaded. After that these features worked.The other feature that did work was Live Traffic. The TomTom version of this is excellent, and for me the major useful feature after basic navigation. It provides live delay estimates, clearly shows where the delay is on the route, when in traffic shows how long before the delay ends in time and distance, in real time gives options of alternate routes etc.I spend over 40 hours working with TomTom customer support, taking photographs and videos to try to solve the problem. Despite them trying to be very helpful, after exchanging over 60 emails TomTom said this feature was not usable in Australia.Amazon refunded the purchase price.

Nach stundenlanger Recherche, aktuelle Produktversion und Testberichte, wollte ich nach 14 Jahren mein TomTom gegen ein "State of the Art" Navi ersetzen.Die Kaufentscheidung war gefallen, ohne lästige, teils subjektive Rezensionen zu lesen.In diesem Fall wäre dies aber wichtig gewesen, weil nur da eindeutig drin steht, dass dieses Gerät in den Standardproduktsprachen spanisch, türkisch, polnisch und italienisch daher kommt, soweit ich mich an den Anfangsbildschirm erinnere. (ohne Gewähr)Leider bin ich keiner dieser Sprachen mächtig und ich kann euch auch nicht sagen ob man weitere Sprachen zuladen hätte können. Für mich hörte sich alles "spanisch" an.Danke der Fa. Amazon für die Kullanz und Rückabwicklung des Kaufes. Solche Eigeschaften gehören m. E. in die Titelzeile des Angebots.Ich wollte dann das nächste baugleiche TomTom bestellen, welches in westeuropäischer Version angeboten wurde. Allerdings als ich mir vor Kaufabschluss den Warenkorb angeschaut habe, war alles auf polnisch dokumentiert.Meine Verwirrung und Unverständnis hierüber, haben mich bewogen, den Kauf Vorort bei MediaMarkt durchzuführen.Tut mir in dem Falle leid für Amazon. Nur wenn die Regeln für mich nicht klar sind, lass ich es lieber!
