Recordings with Groundhogs ,John Dummer Band-Cabal are superior

This album has been a favourite since TS put it out but until last year I hadn't played it since before 1983. Having finally got around to getting the CD, it brought back memories of the day as well as reminding me how much I liked the acoustic blues McPhee plays so well. "The Hunt" was always a startlingly innovative piece of music that resonated then in all its aspects in the same way that it still does now.Definitely a thoroughly enjoyable album from an under-valued musician

great cd. love tony mcphee with or without groundhogs. a class act. more people should know about tony and groundhogs.

First heard this on it's original release. 'The Hunt' which takes up all of side two was like nothing I had heard before!! Side one I have grown to enjoy as I become more open to the bluesy side vof Mr. McPhee!
