The pump fits neatly into a medium saddle bag along with 2 spare 28 -32 tubes, tyre levers and small multi-tool. The reason for this specific pump is the dedicated SV/Presta head, as the name implies this is intended only for road bikes, which grips the valve as a floor pump would. This prevents the issue encountered with other pumps where the head needs to be screwed to the valve, which when unscrewing after inflation sometimes unscrews the valve head releasing all the air. The only draw back for this type of setup is that direct connection to the valve instead of a small hose offering a degree of flexibility. This means having to resist/hold the pump head firmly so as to not move while pumping, which could damage the valve. The other consideration is how the pump cylinder locks when not in use (a bayonet locking mechanism) so when pumping be sure not to twist the cylinder and misalign the lock and potentially damage it. That said, it is a good minimalist pump to keep going when a puncture may occur out on the road.Performance test: The pump was used on 30mm road tyres and within 5 mins of consistent pumping reached 6.5 bar/94 psi (not maxed out) which was sufficient on such tyres to continue ride.Price performance is good.Definitely a recommended purchase.
