The adapter as shown fits the UV-9R and allows for using UV-5R style accessories that use the Kenwood 7mm connector.One negative thing to note is that the adapter has a minor construction fault. The piece that sticks out the direction of the cable is slightly too long and should be filed down a bit manually for a perfect fit.I tested the adapter with a Kenwood 7mm Headset and all functions work as expected.
