I have found that a quarter piece of a strip is sufficient to store a silver ring or chain on its own in a bag. Using the Town Talk silver cloth to clean the plated jewellery, before storage with a strip, contributes to the life span of the plating. Great product, worth the price.

The truth is that most of my jewelry isn't expensive enough so that most people would go to a great deal of trouble to preserve it, but steady maintenance seems like the right thing to do. Pearls set in silver are disastrously difficult to clean, and preventing tarnish is the better option. These little tabs have a place to mark the date as a reminder to change them every few months or as needed. The paper isn't leathery or plastic-y like the small black tabs that are in common use.
