I used two of these to hang a railway sleeper sized mantle beam on a wall, like a floating shelf. They were perfect for this with a bit of no nails on the back of the beam and it's solid. So for floating shelves they are perfect though you have to drill a 14mm hole in the wall if you're using the wall plugs.

this have many uses beyond basins,in future i will be using them as my preferred option for mounting very large and 85" TV and potentially will use these to mount a stair case due to the excellent weight ratingnote the bolts are extra long, so i tend to cut these down, but nut has to go on first as it wont be able to mount the thread.
