Purchased two of these cameras to go with other Tapo cameras.The first one of these has a very bad Wifi coverage. Using the same wifi settings as the other Tapo camera models I have (C225) , this C425 one is the worst of them.Placing both models in the same location, a C225 has good coverage enough for 2K QHD high FPS.While the C425 will disconect and become "unreachable" every couple of days, requiring a reboot by touching the power button.When it was literally next to the router (3m away) they C425 will work fine.The second one had a purple tint all over the image. And I mean full purple, making hard to identify anything. It was not caused by any plastic or protection on the lenses. 1 out of 10 times it will record a video without the purple tint, so must be a camera issue. Thankfully this one was under the return period so it was sent back.Still dont know what to do with the fist one, which is out of return period...Hopefully I can find a location close to the wifi (less than 5m away or only 1 wall) that will work, because otherwise its useless...This is suppossed to be an external camera, not supposed ot be sitting indoors next to the wifi router...

I've been using this camera for about two weeks now. During this time, it disconnected once while I was on a trip, preventing me from accessing it through my mobile phone. However, this issue has not occurred again so far.That said, I’ve deducted two stars because it hasn’t fully convinced me yet, and I’m not sure I can completely trust it. Aside from that, I haven't encountered any other major issues. The magnetic stand is a great feature, allowing me to easily reposition the camera as needed.Video quality depends on your internet connection, but as long as you have a strong connection, the footage is clear. As for battery life, I haven’t used it long enough to provide a solid assessment yet.

The installation is easy. After charging 4-5 hours you're ready to go.It has a wide angle and spotlights and a noise alarm to scare of people.You can choose cloud or microsd card to save footage. And you can even safe to a custom location rather than the provided cloud.With the app the camera is very easy to use. But some settings are hiding behind menu's. Sometimes making it hard to remember where something is.Also the sound doesn't always sounds that clear.What I love the most is that you get motion detection features without needing a subscription.And the trial subscription doesn't require your payment info to start it.For this price it beats Google. And for it's features it beats Ring.

The camera's battery dies way too fast, I can use it for 1 month at most before I have to recharge it again. So according to Tapo TP Link, it will last for a year, but it is not true.I don't recommend buying this one.

The PIR sensor of the camera does not detect persons behind glass. Besides this, it works as expected.

I SUGGEST ALL, DONT BUY THIS CAMERA, VERY BAD QUALITY , EVERY WEEK NEED TO KEEP ON CHARGING, ALL DETAILS METIONED FAKE. SO PLEASE BE AWARE

Al ser sin cables, muy sencilla de instalar. Lleva una base magnética que permite la orientación. Si la superficie/pared a instalar no es metálica, viene una pletina redonda para fijar a la pared, y a ella se adhiere la cámara.La configuración es muy sencilla. Con la app TAPO (sólo disponible para móviles, no hay versión web para navegador) se configuran las cámaras. La primera configuración se hace enlazando cámara y teléfono en una wifi privada y con ello se le dan los parámetros del punto de acceso wifi que se utilizará definitivamente (todo lo hace la app paso a paso)Tiene una visión muy panorámica: yo diría de 180 grados casi. La calidad de la imagen es buena tanto en modo día como en modo noche. La visión nocturna cumple muy bien. Además, si tienes más de una cámara en la estancia, el emisor infrarojo de cada una ayuda a las otras a "ver" mejor el entorno.Puedes configurar el radio de acción para detectar paso de personas y configurar si quieres una alarma sonora que emite la propia cámara.En definitiva, un producto muy fácil de instalar (no hay cableado a pasar y la fijación es muy facil) y my fácil de configurar. Eso sí, tened en cuenta que no "sabe" hablar con los puntos wifi de 5GhZ . Sólo los de 2.4, que son la mayoria de los que hay, pero yo en mi caso tenia uno que sólo va a 5Ghz y tuve que añadir un punto de acceso de 2,4 enlazado al router con cable (pero vamos, poca cosa, no mas de 50 euros extras).Producto recomendado

Much less battery life than advertised. Have reduced the sensitivity to record activity. But it still has low life. You want to be able to record activity so it kind of defeats the purpose. Good quality otherwise. Just don't expect to use it to record anything.
