Ik heb twee honden en inmiddels verschillende uitvoeringen gehad, het lijkt erop dat er elk jaar een nieuwe/verbeterde versie van de tracker komt. De laatste dog V4 (met vaste batterij en clip om op te laden) gaat zeer lang mee wanneer je de wifi activeert. Zodra de tracker binnen bereik van de wifi is wordt gps uitgeschakeld wat erg veel verbruik scheelt. Hier gaat de batterij langer dan een week mee en het komt zelden voor dat hij leeg is. Als de wifi niet geactiveerd is 2-3 dagen.Opladen met de clip en USB3 aansluiting gaat beter dan de vorige met de magneetaansluiting en het te korte, stugge kabeltje. Nu kan de tracker aan het tuigje blijven terwijl er opgeladen wordt.Updaten van de tracker gaat via de app (Bluetooth). De app werkt ook erg fijn en duidelijk. In het bos kan de GPS-positie afwijken, maar in open veld in hoog gras (met vrij zicht naar de lucht) is de positionering perfect.

De app en het apparaat werken opzich goed. Alleen de batterijduur is echt bedroevend! 2-5 dagen houd hij het niet absoluut niet vol, laat staan de 7 dagen die het rondom het huis zou moeten zijn.Buitenshuis hield hij het 1 dag vol. Rondom het huis ongeveer 2 dagen.Helaas geen mogelijkheid meer om nog contact op te nemen...

Ik heb mijn abonnement stopgezet omdat de nauwkeurigheid echt te wensen overlaat. Soms krijg ik een melding dat mijn hond 100 meter verder over het water zit terwijl die gewoon thuis is.

**Trigger warning: *animal passing* and extremely looong review**As stated above, this will be **long**, so if this review is TLDR (too long, didn't read), here is what I need you to know: this tracker is amazing, get it, it's WORTH IT in my (((many))) experiences and opinions.I have had a fantastic experience over the last several years, for better (and worse), using Tractive.The trackers will occasionally show that they've left your preset "Safe Zone", which I assume is when they've gone far enough in our yard for a neighbors wifi to pick up the signal (we have a fenced backyard and currently live in a neighborhood). But, each time I check the "Live" location, it updates almost immediately to show their EXACT location, which is typically still within the "Safe Zone" I've set up (the fenced yard). The app will update again upon registering their "Live" location and provide the "back in safe zone" notification. It's also *so* helpful to know the exact distance away (for my app and location, it's in feet) they are from you and your device. We have a mini Dachshund that LOVES to escape and hide in bushes and such. The satellite map imagery is basically Google Earth level, if not exactly. In other words, she is now capable of hiding as well as Godzilla hides behind a dandelion.The new(ish) click-in charging ports are absolutely amazing! The trackers charge quickly and are able to use within an hour or so, and last several days on average! The connectivity and range is mind-blowing! If you have Bluetooth on your cell phone, you're bascially good to go!I trust Tractive with every single pet in our family (I've even tried to work out how to attach one to my horse without leaving a halter on at all times, but he isn't even an escape artist!). The design and sizes are pretty sleek and secure, whether for a small or large dog, cat, etc. The connection and range are fantastic; infinite in my experience. With the trackers connecting to neighboring wifi service, I take comfort in knowing that if they even get CLOSE to the edge of the "Safe Zone", I'll be notified and can immediately go to "Live" and see exactly where they are. Even when our dogs have escaped our yard, I've been able to track them to an exact location, whether it's a bush, hole, ditch, etc. Not to mention, the trackers themselves are so unbelievably durable.Here is where the ****TRIGGER WARNING**** comes in. If animal passing is an issue for you, please stop here.Several years ago, a young feral cat decided I was her human, and I humbly accepted. Trying to adapt her to the life of an indoor cat, but understanding the risks, I put a Tractive tracker on her. Here is where I'm sadly grateful. One morning, I received the notification that she had left the "safe zone", and was immediately concerned. I began tracking her and found that she was approximately one mile away from home. She had snuck out that morning as my partner was packing up for work. I jumped in my car and started driving to the location of her tracker. Fortunately, in my opinion, I found her at the edge of the road. She was gone, and her tracker was (I assume) "ejected" into the field beside her, and being private property, I didn't want to trespass to find it. But, it was still putting out a signal and did until the battery died. As tragic and upsetting as the experience was, I'm still SO GRATEFUL for Tractive in helping me find my girl and get closure. There was no extended worrying or wondering. No hoping that she'd find her way home, with the reality being that she was gone with us not knowing. I was able to locate her immediately and give her the proper and respectable rest she deserved. That is something I will always be thankful for.I recommend this tracking service to any and every pet owner. I manage a dog boarding facility, and I will ALWAYS recommend Tractive to our customers.To Tractive, thank y'all so much for what you have created and what you do for pet parents! Efter Tractive fungerade i början jätte bra och jag ha varit jätte nöjd. Men efter knappt 2 och en halv månat började den strula och gick inte att ladda igen. Ha tagit kontakt med Tractive och de sa att det är inte normalt och jag få ett nytt utan kostnader och behöver inte returnera den gamla, Men efter knappt 2 veckor ingen försändelse i brevlådan ingen spårningscode ingenting.Jätte besviken

The battery lasts for a few days to a week. Great that is waterproof, and hard wearing. And the tracking is great!The downside I see is just the extra add-on of 'noise' and light when tracking... Both are very small and lite so not really useful, I guess if you put it down in the house and was very very quiet...Everything else and the base system is great and well worth the price

The Tractiv tracker is just great. We use it mostly at the cottage where our Golden goes into the water and into the forest. It gives me piece of mind that if she gets out of the cottage we’ll be able to find her.

Ich bin SEHR zufrieden. Meine 2 großen Hunde hören zwar auf‘s Wort und dürfen auch in der Natur mal ohne Leine laufen. Leider gibt es hier ab und zu ein paar Leute, die auch noch bis Mai meinen zu müssen, dass sie Böller und Raketen zünden können, weil‘s ja „so cool ist“. Ich rede nicht von „normalen Böllern“, sondern von richtig Schlimmen, die man auch dem Hund definitiv nicht antrainieren kann.Sowas passiert dann natürlich unvorhersehbar, da ist Panik vorprogrammiert.Mit dem Tracker kann ich die Hunde, falls mal was passiert, direkt, standortgetreu orten.Man muss nur in solchen Momenten „Live Tracking“ anmachen. Das geht mit einem Finger-Tipp in der App. Das normale Tracking wird langsamer aktualisiert, das spart Akku, aber sobald was passiert, einfach kurz „Live“ antippen. Schon sieht man den exakten Standort des Hundes.Ansonsten misst der Tracker auch die täglichen Kilometer, die die Hunde gelaufen sind. Und man kann sich mit anderen vergleichen (bloß nicht, dann denkt man, man läuft zu wenig, wenn man sieht, dass andere das 10-fache Laufen, obwohl man schon 10 Kilometer hinter sich hat 😁). Aber macht Spaß.Der Preis für das Abo ist natürlich höher, als andere Tracker, aber dieser hier hat sich für mich am Besten erwiesen. Ich hatte erst einen von Fressnapf (Auch echt super! Aber Akkulaufzeit war mir minimal zu gering. Wenn man ihn regelmäßig lädt, ist der von Fressnapf auch gut!!).Also, macht euch selbst ein Bild. Ich befürworte den Tracker von Tractive und kann ihn nur empfehlen.Liebe Grüße von den HundenMaila und Malié 😊
