Ce cable vient en complément de l'antivol de cadre de la même marque installé d'origine sur un Babboe City Mountain. J'ai pris une grande longueur pour être sûr de ne pas être embêté.

Passt super zu den passenden Trelock Rahmenschlössern, für mich ausreichend und auch ggf. für die Versicherung.Ein mehrfach schwerere und auch teurere Kette bringt sicher noch etwas mehr Schutz, aber auch der hat seine Grenzen.Mit einer großen Knollepetz ist auch die Kette sofort durch, behaupte ich mal.Zum Mitnehmen für mich die bessere Wahl als die Kette.Eine Anmerkung vielleicht:Der beiliegende Halter für's Fahrrad ist etwas schwer zu schließen (dicke Gummilasche), nichts für zarte Frauenhände.

I have a step through Raleigh Motus electric bike 2018. It has a Trelock RS453 Ring LockThis cable lock is flexible and long enough to wrap through the front wheel (or through your pannier handle) and clips into the ring lock easily. The cable pin fits firmly into the ring lock and then you hear a click when the pin engages in the lock. Twist of the ring lock key and you pull it out. Note: on the picture next to the pin is a plastic clip, this is not on the cable and it maybe one of the brackets supplied with the cable mountThis is light, with the cable about 380 g.Security - nowhere could I find any security rating for this cable, which may not be surprising as all cable locks can be cut with cable cutters in a second or two. Cable cutters that cut them are small and easily carried in a bag or under a jacket. So this cable lock is for use in low risk crime areas. That said it is so easy to use compared to the tightly wound combination cable lock that I had been using to secure the front wheel.The frame mount it comes with is really well designed and solid. The part that holds the cable is about 45mm in diameter (see photos). It comes with two bottom brackets for different size frame/tube. The small one has a foam pad glued within it and I assume is for mounting on the side of a pannier rack (which is shown on the packaging). I couldn’t mount it there as I use side panniers. Using the larger bottom bracket I mounted it on the frame close to the seat. The frame tube on my bike is oblong not round so I could only fit the mount facing upwards and not sideways. This means I have to thread the cable around the frame before fixing it onto the mount, whereas it would have been easier if I could have simply coiled the cable a couple of times and then fixed it on the mount which was fitted so the fixing point faces you side on. The cable loops fit into a “V” grove on one side of the mount and a tough rubber strap pulls over the loops and fits onto a nipple in the middle of the mount. I’d say the “V” is really designed for 2 loops of cable, but it takes 3 loops (given my mounting point I can’t have 2 long loops and have to have 3 smaller ones). The top mount is designed so that it fits half over the frame/tube it is fitted onto. The bottom bracket actual slides over the frame/tube and then into the mount and is then secured by 2 metal M6 screws (with spring washers). The bottom bracket has long metal threads cast into it. You’re not dealing here with flimsy self tappers, it is a very solid and will not twist sideways.

Frame locks aren't particularly secure, but adding this cable significantly increases the length of time you can safely leave it. Good for shopping trips or café parking.
