Great little tool, cut excess of 50 holes in solid oak so far and it's still cutting as it did out of the packet.

Great hinge drilling bit when its brand new but use it on laminate a few times and the carbide goes blunt very quickly unfortunately.The best thing about this is the aluminium depth stop collar which works brilliantly! Just wish the carbide was better quality.

I just unpacked this thing today for a first use after having it in my toolbox for a few months. First hole went very well... great job I thought. Never got the second hole fully cut as the drive end of the bit twisted clean off. I have a great many Trend tools which I have found to be of exceptional quality. This tool however is complete junk and not worth its packaging. I’m glad I didn’t use the impact driver or it would have broken on the first hole and it does say on the packaging that the item is suitable for use in impact tools, but It certainly wouldn’t be.

The first hole was ok, the second one started to move out from center, so the pilot drill doesn't hold it in position.
