I ordered this coat for my 6-year-old son for school and it’s exactly as I’d hoped. He has had Mountain Warehouse coats for the last few years but we couldn’t get a colour he liked this year so had to change brands. His last coat was size 5-6 years and I was worried a 7-8 would be too big (he’s quite petite for his age - he only wears size 4-5 school trousers) but this coat is a nice length - it comes down just under his bottom and the sleeves have room without being over long. It feels like it will be warm and cosy without being too heavy. The material is a nice soft-shell material and the coat is machine washable at 40 degrees which is always a bonus!
