Really robust material, can already tell it will last for years! Recommended to me by a friend as my mare has EMS and now laminitis-prone! She is a big, greedy girl that likes to eat 10000mph so this is perfect to slow her down with the small net holes, keep her busy and robust enough to cope with her teeth and yanking on it! Thank you!

I bought this net a couple of weeks ago in an attempt to slow down my very overweight cob, to make her hay last longer and hopefully help her loose weight. So far it seems to be working. It's definitely slowed her down. I was using an elim-a-net previously, which has fairly small holes, but these are smaller still, and the ropes don't creep across to make bigger gaps, like they do with the elim-a-net. There's nearly always still a bit of hay in the bottom of the net in the mornings, and I think she looks like she's lost some weight already. She's also not cranky in the mornings like she was with her old net, which she used to empty well before morning. It did take her a few days to get used to the new style of eating, which requires gentle teasing nibbles, rather than great mouthfuls! She got very frustrated with it the first time she used it, and just grabbed it and shook it! So far there's no sign of wear on the ropes. Due to the hard-wearing nature of the materials, the net isn't as easy to use as a regular haynet. When I first got it, the opening seemed to be along the long side of the net, which looked really easy, but it's elongated over time and the opening seems smaller. It's especially hard to undo it with freezing cold hands, and pull the top open. I've read on their website that the rope will soften with use so I'm looking forward to that. I've nevertheless given it 5 stars because it's very much worth the hassle to see my mare not stuffing her face! For me, it's definitely worth the money. My mare seems healthier and happier now.

My initial thoughts on this haynet, were expensive, very harsh material, and I'll never get it open to put the hay in! How wrong could I be?! The material of the haynet softens the more times you soak the haynet. The material is extremely good quality and the haynet it worth every penny (even if it does appear expensive). My horse has this haynet every night and at first I thought she would struggle to get some hay out . . . . . however, how wrong could I be.Definitely works as a trickle net. I'm going to purchase more as they are extremely great value.

I thought this was the answer to my greedy ems pony to slow down her intake - yes it works however she ended up with bleeding lips and the hair has still to grow back. It becomes a welfare issue after a few days so please don’t buy! Luckily we noticed before it became too severe.

Was happy for the first 8 weeks until one morning I came in go find a gaping hole in the ‘toughest’ net. Customer service offered a free repair kit. Not thrilled, which is real shame as prior to tearing this would have been a 5* review.
