These wicker bridges can be pricier than some small animal shelters, but I consider them essential for our guinea pig enclosure. The piggies use it both as a hideaway and as enrichment. As they start to chew "windows" in it, I dangle veggies through.

This is a large, strong, well-made and sturdy bridge. My 2 year old guinea pig loves this bridge.Because it is so wide he can lie down, spread out and stretch out. There is still a good 1 and half inches either side of him, so he is not cramped. This is good for me because the spaciousness allow air to circulate around the bridge preventing the bridge being overwhelmed with odors. Peanut loves nibbling at the bridge too, but because it is strong and sturdy it has not fallen apart.What I like about this bridge is that because it has no base and rests on shavings the bridge means it does not pong of wee wee and what not. As long as you remove any wet shavings under the bridge (where he sits for ages and ages) and little poos the bridge remains fresh smelling. Because of the way the bridge has been made air circulates all around it. It is also high too which helps air circulate. I keep Peanut in my lounge so I do not want aromas of wee wee circulating around me! Lengthwise, it is longer than I expected so piggy can run through it. I think this bridge is excellent value for money. I cannot recommend it enough! UPDATE jULY 2014 - Peanut has now eaten half of his bridge! But he still loves sitting under the rest of it. It never stinks of poos or urine. I wipe it with a lightly disinfected cloth every day. It is still very sturdy. I am going to buy 2 more to use as a long tunnel for him to run under on the other side of his large cage. Excellent value for money and it lasts!
