My cat eats super fast and will throw up when he does. Using this has been a life saver. It's the perfect size to thinly spread out one scoop of food and it's just shallow enough the fit the cat food great. Every other I've seen and tried is either too deep because of course it's made for dog food or too shallow as a lick mat so he can still scoop food up too fast. It's made well and he hasn't put any holes or anything in it. It does slide around on the counter a bit but not a lot. This is the second one I bought (my dog chewed up the first) because it is so perfect
