I have used this hook with size 3 thread and I find it glides smoothly, no snags. Very comfortable to crochet with.

These crochet hooks are very comfortable to use, and very easy on the hands and wrists. I was unable to crochet for about five years because my hands would ache so much when using steel hooks. Thanks to these Tulip crochet hooks with their soft handles, I have been able to crochet again.

I have been crocheting with the “clover amours” but had some problems because the “amour steel hooks are shorter than their regular hooks by about 1/2” and this hurt my hand because I hold the hook like a knife. It was very awkward using the “clover amours”. I found that the “Tulip Etimo Rose steel crochet hooks are the full 5 1/2” which is the same as their regular hooks.I just love this 1.75mm Tulip Etimo crochet hook so much so that I am switching over to using them exclusively.In my opinion the Tulip Etimo crochet hooks are superior to the Amours for many reasons, smother, steel hooks are longer, shape of handle is better, head holds stitches better, I wished I bought the Tulip Etimo’s sooner; they are worth every penny that I paid more than the “Amours”.The hooks I.
