I got this cable so I could connect one of my handheld ham radios to an external antenna. You can buy adapters to go from BNC to UHF connectors, but I prefer a cable like this one because it doesn’t put a heavy item on top of the radio. I like that this cable has a generous amount of heat shrink tubing at both ends which should help extend the service life of the cable. I also like that the cable is flexible. That makes me think that the center conductor is made of stranded wire which also means that the cable should tolerate frequent bending, as will be encountered for my use case.
