This item works! Only tested on VHF but my friend got me S9 with the original antenna and with this one it was 40dB over 9. Don't walk about with this antenna, as it will be top heavy, but standing in one place this antenna will work wonders.

What a great antenna, I had been using an upgraded antenna already but decided to buy this for the marine mobile scanner. Before I could sit a Belfast harbour and hear all of it no problems, now sitting in the exact same place I'm picking up Larne, Isle of Man and Holyhead so along with the marine radar app it's a great day out

Gemessenes VSWR am Antenneneingang des Yaesu FT-70D mit Surecom SW-33PLUS auf 145.550 MHz 1.01 (perfekt). Auf 433.550 MHz 2.84 (geht so..). Original vom Markenhersteller hat auf beiden Bändern ein gemessenes VSWR von 1.01, kostet aber auch doppelt soviel.
