I use a Macbook Pro 14 inch M3 version, and although the macbook looks nice in the holder, it is less of a perfect fit than I like making it wobble when first inserted, and that it has that risk of toppling over due to the overly loose grip. The side where the laptop fits in could be raised slightly to better increase the surface area of the grip and it could then likely be more stable. For its price, it does not match more simple solutions like the ugreen one which I also have and use with my wife’s macbook pro and it is far more stable and better a fit once adjusted.

I bought this to keep my laptop cool and it is brilliant for that as it is not just lifted above the desk like a lot of other solutions that I have tried. But it looks fantastic and makes more space on the desk. I am so pleased with it. This stand is brilliant.

I bought this after reading the other negative reviews, thinking I'd return it if it's as terrible as others have said. However I'm keeping it because I think it suits my needs enough and I shouldn't run the risk of it toppling over. The Goods:Small form factor - I'm going to be using it on my bedside table with my 2023 16" MacBook Pro, which is a heavy beast. I keep my iPad and my MBP on the bedside table and the MBP's just taking up too much space - sticking off the side all the time. Being able to stand it up without reserving a massive area for the base was a must. The simple design means I can fit it on the table with my other tidbits whilst leaving comfortable amount of space left for my iPad. I can imagine myself taking it on holidays as well.Nice design - it looks good and timeless. All the other vertical stands I've seen are very blocky and just don't appeal to me.It's flexible (literally) - I've tested it with my work laptop - a Dell plastic thic boi; my iPad; M1 MacBook Air and my new 16" M3 Max MacBook Pro. They all sit comfortably in the stand, with the 16" MBP being the least sturdy due to its weight and height when stood up - leaving it more vulnerable to toppling like a double decker bus on a race track. This leads us to:The Bads:The rubber isn't particularly grippy on the base - this baffles me considering the target market are MacBook users - the smooth aluminium edge of MBPs don't particularly grip well against the rubber, which means easy lateral movement. It's intentionally designed to not pinch the laptop at the bottom to allow them to say 'future proofed' and not forcing you to buy different grips for 16" laptops like the older BookArc - at the cost of lateral stability. The stand is ironically better suited for my work laptop, some plastically Dell that's thicker and less dense, but the 16" MBP - my most expensive laptop - ends up being most susceptible to falling over.Jack of all trade, master at none - going back to the flexibility point: whilst it works for laptops of different thicknesses, thinner and lighter laptops don't get pinched as much at the top of the stand, which compromises stability again. So I don't quite have the perfect laptop that I feel the stand is really designed for. It does the job, but I just don't know how reliable it will be.Single narrow pinching point at the top - I understand the curve design offering a wider base and it feels like a clever bit of design and engineering to get this stand made. But looking at most vertical stands - they generally have 2 pinch points (4 points of contact with 2 on each side) or full width pinching, I certainly expect greater stability from them than this.Bottomline:All that said, I think it's a good looking stand that you can make work for you as long as you're careful and have good placement on your desk / table. If I end up having my laptop fall over and break, I'll be sure to return to update my review!
